Why does it seem like Quick gives up an early soft goal every now and again
Without that goal I think the Kings could have won.
Also I must say this is the first play off game that the Oilers were not overly dirty. Not saying either sides were saints today but nothing over the top other than the cup check.

How could Blake have known?
The Kings have a strong defensive system, I just don't know if you mess with that rotation by adding a 7th guy. Spence struggled in this series and Bjornfot was so bad in the 2nd half he fell down to like 8 or 9 on the depth chart.
It'll probably be what has happened recently. AA and Vilardi are switched for each other each time one of them has a bad game.

And this is why making the playoffs is important. We see who rises to the challenge and who can't handle the pressure. Makes it easier to say good bye to about 4-5 players.

If Byfield busts - the only recourse would be free agent signings which Blake seems to be doing well at. The 2, 5 and 11 picks are right now looking very bleak. Rob Bleak.

On one hand I want this series to end so we don't ever see the dreadful power play again (mainly kopi) but on the other hand, I want to see Oilers fans in tears on Saturday.

Yeah, players like that could be helping this team more than the mercenary in AA or the offensive black hole of the Champagne Line.
I just think Blake wasn't ready to throw in the towel on QB for this season. Unfortunately for the Kings, by the end of the season QB left the Kings no choice but to sit him.

Oh yeah, Danault, Lizotte, Durzi and Moore thrive under pressure in the playoffs, where they have combined for a grand total of 23 points. Not like that Kopitar with his 69 playoff points(heh) and leading a reverse sweep. No, that guy just wilts under pressure.

It is clearly not looking good, you obviously expect more from a 2OA. But I'd still wait until this time next year to use the bust word, this summer and next season is huge for QB. He should spend his entire summer in LA working on trying to get bigger and better.
But it's obviously a huge disappointment to be getting nothing from any of those high picks this series. As someone else said, this could be the pinnacle if the Kings can't develop many of these scorers.

Danault looks good now, but will he look as good when he enters his 30's? When Kopitar was Danault's age he was putting up what should have been a Hart winning season, now we have a good chunk of this board cursing his name.

You have to stop watching 2014 reruns..as much fun as it is.. I think these guys have the mojo for the next gen from my observations in this series... not taking away from Kopi's accomplishments at all.
