Meh. Edmonton is a dumpster fire so it’s not like they’re going to win a championship any time in the near future. But we should all be proud this Frankenstein of a Kings team coached by the Three Stooges are even playing a game seven.

Anything can happen in a game seven. Mike Smith is a choker. There’s always a chance. But if they lose, it’s not a huge deal.

I’m far more worried about Byfield turning into a massive bust than I am about the Kings not making the most out of this season.

You will not win anything with Todd Mclellan as your coach. Please do what ever it takes to get Barry Trotz.

Trotz will go tot a team that is a contender not one that keeps hoping in 3 years they will be ready. Reality is the Kings really don't have any high powered players that can make plays and score goals. They just have a bunch of average to below average players that over achieve at times. Those great prospects they talk about are no where close to playing in the NHL and most likely most of them will be a bust. I'm sorry but when you draft a player and have to wait 2-3 years to see if he can play in the big league. that is not good drafting. Deano won 2 cups within 6 years of his rebiuld. Blake is in what the fifth year of his and we are not even close to being a contender.

Agree they were flat all night and then got a little life with Durzi's goal but otherwise Oilers were the better team.

But he was also getting tired late in the game.

Had Quick made that stop (which he should have made), the Kings likely go on to win this game in OT.

Full credit to the Oilers. Their response after the tying goal was impressive. They deserved the result.

One game winner takes all. I would of taken that scenario if it was presented at the start of the series.

If Byfield turns into a massive bust then this Kings team might be the pinnacle for the near future. Damn near the entire core is at or past their peak right now, if there is no game breaker joining to meet the decline of the core.

At this point, I'd rather just give Frk a chance and just glue him to the bench until we go on the PP. Todd has sat AA a few times this year, including this series.

The reality is the Kings have probably 10 forwards they are comfortable with. Would love to go back in time to the deadline and get another player or two, not stars or anything, but maybe a guy who can play a middle 6 role better than our in-house options which are all awful.

The musical chairs of healthy scratch to 11th and 12th forwards should not be happening in the playoffs.
