How?
Kings powerplay players sucked.
They had 2 powerplays and got f*** all done.
We all knew the Oilers would get their powerplays in the second - and they did.
They went 1-for-2.
And then Byfield blew it on the Kings PP - and the Oilers scored a shortie.
It was over.

The main complaint I have with Tmac is that Byfield was outclassed badly in Game 1 but he didn't have the stones to flout superstition and change his lineup.
The kid's nowhere near ready. That's not his fault.

What's frustrating about the PP, the team looks like it doesn't know what to do with the puck even when they have possession in the offensive zone. They were passing too much executing sluggishly doing nothing when they needed to simplify with quick passes and get shots on goal, with maybe going for some rebounds. It really bit them in the butt tonight. The other thing, you knew the Oilers were gonna come out flying hard and the Kings never matched the Oilers intensity. I know Cal has struggled, but why did TMac leave Quick in the game when it reached 4-0? Put Cal in to see if it would have sparked something in the team.

I love Danault, but he's not a PP guy.
Put him on the 2nd unit.
Go with Moore or AA on the first unit. Or Kaliyev.

Definitely. You're coaching every game for keeping your job and a cup. Loyalty gets you fired quickly. Play the guys that give you the best chance to win.
