Not sure how I feel about these lines but let's see how it goes

I have great fear if Brown and AA close out with a decent 6 last games and then have a decent first round playoff showing (probably losing cause 4-1 games or thereabouts) they are offered contracts. Would be a major setback and hold back 2 deserving youth. I'd rather see Kopitar, Kempe, Danault, Arvy, Kaliyev, Moore, Lizotte, Roy and Quick catapult the Kings into the playoffs and AA and Brown just be along for the ride.

I'm hopeful we continue to get the rejuvenated version of Brown...much like Edler I'm sure he'd like to go out on his own terms, not limping off into the sunset.

But I'm with @Peter James Bond II that a veteran surge is also worst-case-scenario for next season and sees the youth held down yet again.

i swear if see kaliyev on the f***in 4th line once next season i'm out

I came close last night to saying if next year looks like this year at all in terms of usage/deployment I'm rooting for another team until Blake et. al. are gone which would be soon in that case. Yes, feel free to bookmark that, guys that are going to bitch about it.

And then I slept on it and I feel that way now twice over.

I get the vibe that they would trade anyone under age 24 for 27 year old veterans to support Kopitar. Hope I'm terribly wrong.

Haven't Oiler fans suffered enough. Them rooting for the Kings to win here tonight might make them go over the edge if we turn out another chit show.

Line blender on full for tonights game.

You can root for the Ducks...they'll be terrible and will get a top 5 pick you covet :)

I feel like tonight's lineup is doing a disservice to our next "future core" as management is riding the vets to sneak in the playoffs to get some extra revenue. We all see the end game for the cup guys, but to bench (Byfield, Vilardi, Bjornfot) in the critical stretch of games where they will learn so much about what it takes to finish the season and fight for the playoffs is just ridiculous.

If this is one game great but watching this coaching staff and management moves this season I highly doubt it. If these final 6 games plays out with this lineup and we make or miss the playoffs it will be a loss of critical development.

But those guys play 10min a night anyway, so what's the difference?
