What's remarkable about Moore's production is that he's doing it without the PP.

Moore is getting points at ES and on the PK.

He has 5 short handed goals (#1 in the NHL). And 6 short handed points (also #1 in the NHL).

He has 37 ES points. Kopitar has 40.

And it doesn't look like a fluke. His current shooting percentage is near a career low, and he's in the negative on GAE, which suggests not only is his scoring sustainable, but it should increase if he keeps playing the way he is.

I did not hate AI as a bottom 6. And he's fine on the PK.
But still MUST be removed from the PP. Both units.

Arvy on the 1st unit and Kaliyev and try Gabe on the 2nd unit. Or Kupari. MAYBE QB.
Maybe giving him some room would help him a lot right now. (on the PP)

where's all the gloom and doomers tonight?? I know, saving your energy for tomorrow.

I'm calling it now, 90+ point season without your #1 dman for half of it...nice job Blake/TM.

Oh wow, you’re predicting one more win in the last 7 games? That’s bold. Almost as bold as claiming the only time you should be worried about failing is after you’ve already failed.

The 3 point cushion with a game out of hand is really encouraging too. I can’t imagine why anyone would be concerned.

Which leads us to the obvious question: Can Moore be our 1C next season?

Don't drink the Kool-Aid just yet...

Does anyone know where Moore is from?

I just got back to my room from the game.

Chicago is just playing out the stretch, I’ve never seen that building so dead. This is what we are going to be seeing from most of our opponents the rest of the way, that is why I just don’t see the Kings missing the playoffs, these bad teams in the West are REALLY bad.

Brown, Iafallo and Lizotte were fine as a fourth line. But man that might be the softest Kings lineup I can ever remember seeing. I’m not a big toughness guy but you just don’t see coaches ice zero toughness like that often in the NHL. But these 3 probably give you the best chance to generate offense from that line something the Kings are going to continue to need.

Spence has the best offensive zone game sense of any Kings dman since Voynov. So refreshing to see a d-man creep down for scoring chances and not being glued to the blue line.

I just don’t see it with Vilardi. He just has the look of a classic AHL/NHL AAAA player.

We are not there yet. (See tomorrow's opponent.) Anything out of tomorrow's game, whether it be one or two points, would be huge.

Europe, I think. :skeptic: They were tearing it up with Jason Robertson on the first line a year ago at the Worlds in Latvia, and the announcers kept mentioning that both guys were from Côte d'Azur, or something like that.

(I was posting lots of Moore highlights a year ago, saying he was on a par with Robertson but you kept dismissing him as a fourth-line guy.)

Roy and Maatta had a lot of trouble getting the puck out of their zone tonight. They blew a lot of clearing chances and couldn't find a breakout pass to save their lives. I'll chalk it up to rust for Roy, but he needs to get his crap together and quick.

Especially on the pk. There were a bunch of times they had the puck to clear it out and then would give it away. A better team probably scores on those mistakes. The 2nd Hawk goal shouldn't have counted. It was a straight up hook/hold on Maata, taking him down and out of the play.
Pretty much par or the course with the refs last night, just total trash.

When a bunch of tweeners have career years not much to get excited about when it comes to wins.
