Honestly I’m fine with him on the team, what I’m not fine with is giving him all the icetime. The team should climb off his back but the coaching needs to make that call.

proud of the fight in these guys tonight, best team in the world vs. our 15 and 16 dmen on the penalty kill just is what it is. Refs literally checking Kings off breakaways, knocking down pucks for Avs, missing calls? What can you do.

Gonna be LOTS of game tape for the kids to learn from tonight, good and bad, but they'll know they played hard and absolutely toe-to-toe with the top team in the league at 5v5. Considering the dcore outside maatta has a combined, what, 50 games? Nothing to hang their heads about. Game flow is practically even at 5v5.

Being the best team in the league would only be a useful comment if the avs were actually playing good. They have no reason to be winning the game. The refs handing it to them

We don’t have any vets on D tonight. Again I’m critical as f*** of our special teams but tonight isn’t the night.

It’s going to be really ugly next year because there is no one to replace Kopitar as he enters the Getzlaf/Thornton stage where he is still decent as an offensive generator but just to slow to do anything else. This is where the inability to draft his replacement from 2015 to the current really hits hard.

For this season, the defense is not surprisingly holding up well, they have a great defensive system and they do a great job developing defenders very quickly. Spence and Durzi look great and even Strand and Moverare have been very solid.

The problem is not surprisingly the offense, same problem for the last 15 years. Danault and Kempe were not going to keep up their pace scoring goals, Kopitar as discussed is just old, Iafallo has completely collapsed, the young players just have not been able to produce all year and then the guy with the hottest stick recently gets hurt and it just breaks the back.

I think they desperately need to add someone that can replace AA’s offense, even if it is just a rental, they need to add some skill to the lineup asap and get VA back.

as bad as the refs have been, the kings has put forth one of the most dangerless 40 minutes I've seen all year. our highest quality chances have been pucks rolling off a stick before anything even materializes

Gonna be very interesting to see how management handles defense next season. Before any moves, there's Drew, Mikey, Tobi, Roy, Durzi, Walker, Spence, Clarke, and Moverare (although I may like him more than most)
