I'm beginning to not like this new format. The posts jump around when you're trying to read them.
i think that's the "live thread" thing and you used to be able to choose not to read it in live format, apparently that's not the case any more?

i prefer refreshing on my own time so i don't get lost in what i have and haven't yet read

How does your board feel about Byfield overall? Do most of you want him playing the way he is, higher in lineup (with better players) or in the AHL?

Actually, today is perfect. He is probably on the dream line for most armchair GM fans. He is fine where he is. There is nothing he can do more in the AHL. He needs to battle through it and keep getting experience in the NHL. In the end, he is still a scrawny 19-year-old and it will take him a while to navigate and discover how to utilize his tools best in the league and find success.

Exactly. Makes no sense for what you're reading to instantly jump off screen. Make it go back.. .

Barely talked about it and someone got upset but whatevr.

Kings are winning at least

Feel free to continue in the PMs, just keep it out of the GDT. That discussion was going to go south real fast and I don't want to moderate that any further than it has to be.

seemed respectful enough. But I’ll take your word for it.

Anyways on byfield, he really is extremely weak. It’s kind of insane for his size how weak he is. Kopitar had man strength pretty quickly. He was playing against pronger and stunted on him a lot. People give byfield too much rope for being as behind as he is, and unimpressive as he is

Nice, so most of you agree with me.
I feel the same way you guys are describing him currently with Drysdale. He needs to get a lot stronger and have the puck on his stick more I prefer him to go to the AHL.

I miss this theme - reminds me of Bob Miller - and does anyone know the composer and/or musicians? sounds a lot like UFO (Michael Schenker) style of playing

Well the only issue I have with him in particular is that you’d have no idea he was a big player by how easily he gets knocked off the puck. Lizotte is stronger on the puck and he’s a gnome. Byfield is extremely weak for his size

Weak for his size, and hasn’t figured out how to effectively use his range.

Q is most definitely a work in progress.

Only took 12 shots. Quick should have made that save considering how much pressure that guy had on him. Close that gaping 5 hole

Horrendous special teams.

And just making sure - Byfield didn't get any powerplay time there either, right?

Pretty sad to say that in regards to a second overall pick. He needs a lot of work.
It took big guys like Barkov & Draisaitl time to figure out how to be effective at this level.

Q will come around I’m sure, it just will take some time.
