Looked like Danault was hooked, but no call. Still managed to get back in the play and get the assist. Tremendous effort.

That wasn't the only time. The refs were trash, period! Not a single penalty on Lumbus, I counted at least 5 times there was straight up interference, or a blatant hold, like when Anderson was pinned to the ice for half a shift while Lumbus skated in our zone. The back ref just stood there and watched.

I don’t ever want to read again that Arvidsson is ‘just’ a volume shooter. That final goal was simply exceptional.

Yes when he’s not on it, he is very much a shoot first guy… he doesn’t hide and keeps going at it. However, he’s rediscovered his confidence and really believes in himself after all those injuries. He now looks like that player he was a few years back and I’m not just talking about yesterday. He’s the perfect wingman for Danault and that line is just relentless.

Huge win.....Kings lose this one in regulation its now 3 losses in a row & doubt and second guess starts creeping in. Especilly considering the atrocity against Boston and collapse in Dallas followed up with 3 goal in a minute against the BJS- those would have been marquee moments that would be totally send the Kings into a late season plummet. Been said here many times but believe its true if Kings make the playoffs and maybe win a series or two Blake should totally be in the running for GM of the year. Arvidson trade, Daneualt signing, along with the kids hes drafted or traded for.

On the Reign broadcast they interviewed Luc at the break who said NHL metrics all show the prime year are 24-29 for an NHL player so to see Kings getting contributions from kids 20-23 years old had the team happy and confident moving in the right direction. I tend to agree- with Anderson, Bjornfot, Durzi all under 23 years old.

So interesting reading how bi-polar this fanbase is...this game-thread sums it up beautifully.

I guess you're just better than the rest of us since win or lose you and your cohorts are consistently miserable at everyone full-time.

Even celebrating a win, here you are going "no, not like that."

The fan police thing is getting extremely old, extremely quickly.

it is very hard not to be when you let in three goals in one minute. Especially when two of those goals are assisted by your own team with brutal passes up the middle.

After the Boston blow up where we refused to show up and then that embarrassing lost it Dallas I got really upset after those three goals were scored.

Then I got really excited when Arvidson happened. Sometimes you can’t control it as a fan.
I will say the same thing sitting here nonemotional though. Dustin Brown is no longer a player that should be playing major minutes on any given night. He should be given nights off to rest.

We still need a top peering left short defenseman.

We still need somebody that can put a puck in the net.

Some of our coaching decisions blow my mind.

I’ll even jump on the sword and say I love what Blake has done and think he’s been doing a great job as GM since they committed to a rebuild/re-tool

Yeah, I don't see why this wouldn't be celebrated is it.

Three games in a row they were repeating terrible habits--letting the Boston game get out of control like an earlier Carolina game, where a couple of bad calls and goals later, the game just falls apart. Then the Dallas game, not playing terrific but in control, and let in 3 goals in a burst and lose to a partner in the playoff race. Then again last night...completely dominating then giving up 3? That could have been somethign awful...but instead they turned it into a positive and one of the wildest, most exciting games of the year.

No one is going to apologize about rising from the depths and the team showing some guts. That was an important emotional win and course correction. And now we get to see if they've learned anything from it.

that's key to me, that was the most fun i've had watching a game in a while, even with the mistakes they were trying their damndest to rip around out there and columbus was clutching and grabbing to slow them down at every opportunity. can't blame em after those first 10 minutes..

How many of us immediately shut the tv off after CLB scored in OT...I almost did, glad I didn't.

Listening on the radio, it sounded like it was over so I turned it off. lol But then I turned it back on when people were saying it looked off-side.

But seriously, this thread was ahead of my stream by at least 5 seconds last night. So I knew to keep watching.

At least your boy Tonka may find his way back to the lineup. I like him - but there's something about his game the coaching staff doesn't. Can't put my finger on what that is.
It’s that he has no defining quality to him. He’s what I call a low event player. Does everything in a straight line and does most everything pretty well at the NHL level. No real creativity to his game, and doesn’t make anything happen.

Grundstrom will always be a borderline/bottom sixer as a result. He can play on any line, but will quickly disappear or fade into the background after a few games. He’ll be fine on the fourth line, but he’s not a long term solution to the top nine.

Not sure if I am a cohort, but this board is extremely bi-polar, and it's supposed to be, it's a fan board, that's what fans do, when the team loses, they cry, whine, bitch, bemoan, and when the team wins, it's all sunshine and unicorn farts....

Again, that's the NATURE of fandom, where the issue is....is after a loss, when people proclaim the team sucks, and when others say, actually, no, it wasn't that bad, then the people who proclaim the team sucks, go apeshit and claim others don't know what they are talking about etc....and when the team wins....and everyone is like...omg we are great.....like last night.....that was a win, but that was not a GOOD win, as much as any win can be bad, the continuing teeing up shots for the opposing team is concerning, the lack of finish is concerning, the sloppiness with the puck, is concerning, and as soon as I post this, there will be people going...SEE WE TOLD YOU THEY SUCK....etc...

I don't get caught up in the hi's or the low's, Kings win....great....Kings lose....ok fine, either way doesn't make my day.....I was more apt to feel the way you guys do way back in 93 in the Finals, but to be fair, that was still 10 years into being a fan, and I was a teenager....

But again as to this board being bi-polar, it's 100% is, and it's 100% understandable and natural....

But god forbid you think Dustin Brown is fine playing where he is, and even though you believe he's not coming back, you can't know what you are talking about if you think that. God forbid you think playing Kaliyev on the 4th line for his first year is fine....God forbid, you think Lizotte should be playing over JAD (to be honest though, JAD is a different player than he was, so I wanna see more of him)

Yep there is no.....there there....to his game, it's simple, and replaceable, he's serviceable...which is fine.
