You can have a five for boarding without the game. Needs to have a head/face injury to ear a game but I'm not sure if a little visor cut on the bridge of the nose is automatic or if the refs have discretion.

Lemieux is never going to get any favors though.

The penalty is what it is. Something's gotta change on special teams now. Don't even wait for practice. Now. Because now its getting out of control. We controlled most of that period and its the same old song and dance where special teams are killing us. When is it going to get through the coaching staff that what we are doing isn't working

Well watching the replay a few times at different angles, Lemiuex had his numbers in sight most of the time he was skating towards him and even if Lindgren didnt turn his back more it still was going to be hit from behind/board. He needs to be smarter. He hurt the team.

Bad decision making by Lemieux. It's a boarding penalty. 5 or 2 doesn't matter, Lemieux shouldn't have made that hit. To me that was equivalent to Mcdavid's boarding penalty earlier in the season.

Agreed, its not the worst board you will ever see but it was the right call, they use the tablets for that very reason. Lemieux has definitely been a positive for the Kings this season but plays like that are why he has worn out his welcome elsewhere. He needs to know the situation as well as what type of team he is on, bad on the PK and not high scoring, you just can't take that penalty.

The people complaining that it was clean would be losing their mind if one of their guys did that to us.

The Kings special teams is about on par with the Packers.
