Retread coach.. I like his system but he wont dont anything outside the norm - esp not show up some cup winning vets that predate his arrival... overplaying DD and Kopi is a crime.. no need to keep doing that.. The other lines have played responsible.. why run those guys down. they are taking shits all over the ice all game long

The problem isn't this game in a vacuum, it's that it's the culmination of shitty trends that started in the Seattle game.

It's the opposite of earlier. The Nashville loss was annoying, but they were doing everything right, so you knew it was going to continue. Lately, they're doing everything braindead and heartless and the results are reaping what they sow. Well, not EVERYTHING, as we saw a stretch tonight of what can happen when they're confident and engaged instead of playing not to make contact.

DD plays a stupid amount.. I remember thinking when DS was running him out there 30 minutes a game it would eventually catch up with him.. i think its time to pull back that throttle

Iafallo getting interviewed talking about how they need to put pressure on their defense yet Tmac had them playing 1-3-1 giving them the red line all through the third period in a tie game. Shoulda been the opposite especially with them playing only 4 dmen. Thats the second loss against Tampa this season you can lay on the coach.

i feel you, not trying to excuse it, just kinda saying why i'm not too hurt. near 30 easy minutes on all their D who took no punishment and never had to work hard

it was certainly a winnable game, but there were some veterans coming up very short tonight that would've pushed it over the edge

I wish TM had the guts to tell these guys no. I have no Doubt Doughty would play a full 60:00 if they let him.

I've been complaining about this non stop for a while. Like, I get that we were tanking for the past few years, but that would be a great opportunity to ease the load on Kopi/Doughty so they might still have legs when the team gets good. Since 2018-19 Doughty leads all players in the entire f***ing league in time on ice with 5386 minutes, nearly 100 more than Burns who is second(and Doughty played 3 less games). The 3rd most minutes is Provy with more than 200 less minutes. If you are tanking, why are you leaning so hard? It's just madness(It's definitely one step beyond)

Things I love to see: Blake Lizotte flying in, stealing the puck, sniping.
Part II: after eating the crosscheck, you know who was in Foote's face? Turcotte. The ref had to bail him out even though Foote has a full head on Turc.

Things I don't love? Foote throwing ANOTHER crosscheck late on the game on a downed Lemeiux to no call and still wouldn't scrap. Adam should be ashamed. What a f***ing chickenshit.

Also things I REALLY HATE--TM's interview. Basically oh the vets weren't very good either but THE KIDS weren't taking the bull by the horns.

Really really missing Kempe. He's the one that could have taken advantage of the Tampa 4 D. And he's missed on the PP too.

More ridiculous ice distribution to Kopitar and Doughty

This team and it's coaching are bipolar. A couple of stretches of very good play mixed in with several stretches of this garbage. The only thing consistent about this team is the special teams being horrendous

Maatta's just really bad. No other way around it. Another in a long list of really shitty bottom pairing depth defensemen. Would much rather see Moverare in there. Or anyone really.

Love Lizotte and Lemieux. That's a trend almost every single game. They just work really hard, hit everything they can, and don't let the other team have any space.

Brown honestly should retire. He's had a great career but he's just brutal. I really hope Blake doesn't extend him.

Same complaints win or lose. Play Kopitar and Doughty less. Play Lizotte, Lemieux, and the kids more. Put Durzi and Kaliyev on the top power play. Womp womp.
