Alex Turcotte must have skipped his uncle's skill camps. His hands just aren't there right now.

Not the hands but one of his flaws is that he needs to slow his pace down, he wants to do everything on the ice at high speed, he is not McDavid. He has more space than he thinks but rushes plays when he should just slow down.

I feel the Arvy penalty killed us. Thought we can at least make a game of it but that penalty did it. Our specialty team coach should go to Covid protocol for the year.

I'll repeat what I said before the road trip, before I started to believe I needed to see the good play taken on the road. Through two games, the effort has been disappointing. Still a long stretch of road games here coming up, they need to figure it out

On the road and vs. two divisional opponents--two absolute stinkers. They were lucky to win vs. Seattle, the same performance got their shit kicked in today. Soft defense, scared of checking. Is it that the pacific is bigger? I hope that's not what has these guys petrified of contact until the game was out of hand. Sure, it was a 1pm game, but that's two in a row now, not just a one-off vs. the Sharks, who have now won what, 7 of their last 8 against us?

13-4-1 vs. the east
7-9-4 vs. the west

That's a problem.

Especially when they're letting bad habits and special teams seep back in.

It's like they started believing the press clippings after the Pens win.

Road games are a challenge because of line matchups.(2nd change). With some rookies in the lineup they can get exposed. They put Couture out vs Kupari's line every chance they got until the game was out of reach. Lizotte\Lemieux had a crap game as well.

Kupari needs some AHL time. Fagemo looks more refined than Kupari even in a total circus game. Turcotte throwing his body into a pile of dudes and coming out with the puck only to find Brown hasn't even gained the blueline yet and Kupari is chasing his tail doing nothing is getting old.

PP2 should be PP1 and vice versa. Frankly Kopitar should have nothing to do with PP1 right now. It's clear that he's hurt, gassed, or just old. And PP2 keeps getting 30s or less and doing more.

Kempe is vital, hopefully he's just protocol'ed and not very ill.

TBL is too soon, otherwise when Kempe is back i'd say

Iafallo-Kopitar-Kempe/Fagemo
Moore-Danault-Arvidsson
Turcotte-Byfield-Kempe/Fagemo (Vilardi?)
Lemieux-Lizotte-Kaliyev

Brown can sit his worthless ass down. It was very clear today when the Kings aren't just flat out outskating the opponent to carry the play who is lagging behind and it was constantly Brown throwing pucks at feet and just generally being nothing but a speedbump. Kaliyev had a rough game too but it was an outlier for him at least. Everyone else was at least around the puck busting their tails.

The Kings thoroughly outplayed the Sharks when it came to controlling the play and generating chances, but they were terrible in their own slot. That was their downfall today.

To be fair, the Sharks didn't need to outplay or show urgency when they're scoring at 62%. 5 goals on 8 shots. Really hard to control the play when everything is going on so i think its a bit deceiving.

It is very difficult for the rest of the team to perform when your goalie allows goal on every other shot.
I love Quick, but he was horrible in this game.
Is it easier for the goalie to perform when the rest of the team plays like shit? In the arena of life it seems a lot harder to accept 18 people letting one down than it is to accept 1 guy letting 18 down. Not saying Quick played well at all, but the narrative that the goalie deflates the team more for some reason is crapola.
