One pp, after Jim Fox reminded us wasn't good at all the last 10 games, looked like they've been running at 100 pct. The other looked like they've never played together and was a total cluster F, 3 times in a row.

That is definitely disturbing. The special teams play is unacceptable against them.

I have a hard time writing this game as “just a stinker” All this winning is meaningless if they’re going to be bad against pacific teams. They are going to go nowhere
 
I don’t care for example if this team was against an eastern conference team. The fact we can’t win in our own division pretty much suggests they won’t get in the playoffs. These games are infinitely much more important and the Kings can’t get up for them. That’s a legitimately massive problem

As balanced as they are and as well as they have played at ES the dog crap special teams and the lack of offensive talent is just going to be to hard to overcome in the playoffs. People mention shutting down the elite centers in our division with our defensive centers but it won't matter if we can't score and suck on special teams.

This team will crater in the 2nd half if they have a special teams index this bad.

You can't even say the Kings going 0/5 on special teams (0/3 PP, 0/2 PK) is the main problem. Although that's the ongoing symptom.

Previously, the solid 5-on-5 play buoyed the team. That's fallen apart today.

But as mentioned, they got a gross win against Seattle, and now instead of addressing those issues, they are getting a gross loss against San Jose. They HAVE to play better against divisional opponents.

They should all quadruple cover Meier and continue to get blown out as long as he doesn’t get a double hattrick I’ll be happy. We will never hear the end of it
 
They need to stop that ridiculous 1 high PK, it is not working. Play 2 high with pressure force the PP team to play low and get bigger D to clear them out. It only worked for 2 cups, I guess Sturm is smarter than all of us.
