Theory on Cal is JQ re-emergence killed his vibe and he didnt feel like he deserved to be out there as the #1 - even in the platoon .. making him the #2 was probably good for him to feel like he had to re-earn his place - earn his starts.

Icant figure out how this team is effective. Terrible special teams - and no offensive standouts. D corps is a patchwork. Goaltending above average. Yet they carry play in most games..

I cant be too mad, he’s being played an appropriate amount now so we see less of that each game.

They seem to be putting in all situations other than what his wheelhouse is.. maybe there is some logic behind it? id rather see him tee it up like Frk was the other night

and i think durzi could make it happen honestly

Kupari on the wing means he doesn’t have to think as much.. now he’s just playing

definitely think kupari is a winger in this league but i think i'd rather have tkachev up for the other things he offers, at least for this season

tkachev/turcotte/brown isn't a terrible line and then you get the benefit of having tkachev up for pp2
