Refs 2, Kings zip!!! Preds are the team we use to be. Big, Strong and tough as nails to play against.

That was essentially the perfect period of LA Kings hockey at home.

Double up the opponent in shots on goal, and finish the period down 2-0 while only giving up 6 shots. PK failure included.

The worst part about the Kempe penalty was that he didn't even shake up the Preds goalie. If you're going to get called for goaltender interference, make it count.

Two absolute horse shit calls made even more blatant by both what they were letting go AND that both calls were completely opposite/inconsistent; on one, they were SUPER eager to call the phantom hold on Kopitar because the Pred was driving the net, but on Kempe, they let Benning half nelson him and lock arms before shoving him into the goalie and weren't going to call a thing.

Never mind all the late gloves to faces, I counted three punches that Duchene threw at Danault all the way to the net and he was trying to get called but couldn't connect.

I'm sure Preds will go up 3-0 before the refs find their whistles.


Don't get me wrong, pretty typical Kings to be blowing another one on special teams. Just funny that this time it's on the PK when we have every defensive forward and defensive dman in the league.

Love the physical play and Kings have played very, very well at 5v5 against--again, sigh--the hottest team in the league and the Central division leader.

If our special teams were even slightly decent we'd have no need to add anything at the deadline, we would actually be so good if our special teams weren't garbage.
