Top six needs an overhaul. I think changes come if they dont make the playoffs.

You might be right. Todd might reassemble Iafallo - Kopitar - Brown, leaving Kempe - Danault - Arvidsson as the second line. That's sure to spark some change. Then Blake, Luc, and Todd can sit back, get out their good cigars, and jerk each other off. It's big brain stuff.

Kings would have been better without the off-season additions...now they have to make wholesale changes with most of the core getting jettisoned outta town...rather lose with the kids than struggle and be inconsistent with the vets

If Toronto had done their job on the 1st goal review high stick might have been a different destiny... its one those shit games.. i recall one in Buffalo i think they lost 10-1 same feel
 
Obviously not a good sign this group didn't respond at all to the early adversity, with that said though the start to this game was complete BS.

I've been as hard on this team as anyone but this one had ref fingerprints all over it, what a shitshow.

From the first two blown calls to the Durzi clean hit and thereafter...Carolina is just straight up a better team, they didn't need the computer assistance turned on.

I liked how they responded for most of the first, the third the Canes just showed they're the Canes and you're not coming back big. I could complain about the special teams but what's the point, that's a nightly thing...the refs being that completely off is unusual, they were acting like beer league refs that were reffing the last game of the night and just wanted to go home and figured the Canes were gonna win. They looked at that high stick for like 10 seconds, and then once the canes were up big, put their whistles away while guys got sticks hacked out of their hands left and right.

Burn the tapes on that one, move on. Still a chance to make this a good trip, even if unlikely. That's a game I'm happy to spot them because they didn't just quit even when they had every excuse to.

Edit: actually I do have one complaint...should have let Quick rest and played him tomorrow. But meh.

I like Gabe but in this up tempo NHL he's not fastest enough to play Centre nor talented enough! Its the RWing or nothing I'm afraid
