Vancouver has a solid team, Demko is a very good goaltender. I like Bruce Boudreau and think he'll really get things turned around. He'll be a great coach for the young guys especially Pettersson. That being said we knew the Kings would just roll over after yesterday and give them their first win with a new coach. 1 game win streaks FTW!

I've always said all this team needs was a shakeup because this team has too much talent to suck. You can see it. Was hoping they employ Benning and company forever because it was fun watching the Canucks stink.

but closer to home, the difference between LA and SJ ANA is that SJ ANA will always produce an interesting team for their fanbases, they score, they win, their retools are usually short, and they are back at it again

how do they do it? SJ and ANA they always manage to add "unknown names" to their roster and they become decent NHLers

have you looked at San Jose's roster this year? This should be year 1 of their rebuild/retool, yet they are right there with us in the standings

the next best thing fans could hope after winning the cup is ENTERTAINMENT
we get no entertainment value at all

Thing is, he's saying what a lot of us here have been bitching about. If you are a kid and your bread and butter is offense, you need to show it and not be stuck reactively trying not to hurt the team instead of proactively trying to help.

In order to do so they need to change philosophies, give up chasing the playoffs, and let the kids work on their strengths not just their weaknesses. Just don't think that will ever happen with this management team and Kopitar and Doughty demanding to compete.
