He has been in the AHL for quite some time, I don't know how much more he can learn if he doesn't get basic defense by now. He makes drastic errors, that 3 on 2 read tonight was amateur hour stuff. Giving up that 2 on 0 PP chance against Ottawa, the 2 goals he ushered into his own net during his debut, its never a dull moment.

I don’t know he’s only played 91-92 games in the AHL. That’s essentially one seasons worth of games.

Defensemen historically take a few years to develop and learn the nuances of the game.
