GDT: 2021-22 season game 16 LA Kings vs Washington Capitals @7:30pm 11/17/21

Seems like one of those years 7 game win streak, 6 game losing streak and on and on. Best team coming up on Friday. They're second of a back to back. So of course we'll lose after the Ducks beat them.

It was the little moments in this game that cost them tonight. Overall it was pretty even, but you could tell the Caps were probably destined to win this game. It felt like 2012 all over again where we're going to waste an awesome game by Quick and not giving him any run support

Kopitar hasn't played well in weeks.

I don't really think he's a 1st line center anymore.

This forum is really going out of it's way to blame anyone but the obvious.

But even so...Kopitar getting 3x the minutes of Lizotte again. Let's just ride him into the ground when he's obviously not having a good game...

And I think we are all seeing why Bjornfot was drafted higher than Kaliyev - and that isn't a knock on Arthur.

Toby looked like prime Enstrom tonight. Love it.

Mikey had amonster game too, lots of shot blocks and tip outs as well as some great breakouts. And Clague doing his best to carry Maatta, was very assertive w the puck, seems to be getting more comfrotable too

You can evaluate a player regardless of linemates.

He looked spent in the second half of last season. Had a few good weeks this season and is back to where he was towards the end of last year.

Dude has a ball and chain around his leg most of the night.

Kopi is a legend but is part of the mail-it-in hof the last 5 years Pearson, Tofolli, DD, Kopi and Brown and Carter somewhat. Theres tarnish there that is hard to clean off.

And as an individual he looked fine most of the night. Had to make offensive plays mostly by himself, sometimes with Arvidsson, and made some great defensive plays too, often caused on a turnover by...well you know the rest.

He just looked totally wiped at the end, as he should have, as he played more minutes than anyone but Edler.

I agree, his defensive zone work is where its most obvious, there are an awful lot of plays were he is getting there a tic later than usual.

Just nature. Lots of miles on those legs. Though, the dude giving out the minutes seems not to notice the issues with that unit.

If a losing streak is needed for them to bring in the kids I'm all for it. Kids developing> making the playoffs

They won't.

Next down is Kaliyev because he'll be held responsible for tonight. "Check better" or some shit, even though he was one of the best possession players on the team along with Lemeiux and Lizotte.

TM will then cycle through bottom sixers like Andersson until they win another game then stick with it until they lose again. This roster will be lucky to see a kid again unless there are some injuries/sicknesses.

The moment Doughty even thinks he is coming back they'll waive Clague/trade him for a 7th, send Strand down, and keep Maatta.

I don't think you can really blame anyone tonight. It was a very tight defensive game. 1st team to get that bounce was going to win.
a bounce is 1 thing, leaving hathaway standing alone in the crease is another

i don't know if that was moore or roy's fault systems-wise but you just can't let that happen without blame
