I have major beef with it after Kopitar's abysmal game.

It's okay for Kopitar to play 22 minutes while getting crushed and be on for both ES goals against, but it's not okay for you to be on the ice for ZERO goals against in a 4th line role...that's some serious TM bullshit.

Obviously Kopitar isn't getting benched like ever but this is where a coach is gonna have a major disconnect between entitled vets and hungry youth especially when setting Vilardi up to fail. 33% ozone starts in a 4th line role? f*** off TM.

Yeah, Kopi stunk last night. He was beaten so bad on goal 2 I think or whatever. The guy got total inside position and just walk to the net.

All these complaints about the Kings being soft are misguided.

While there may be some partial truth to it, a large portion of it is simply the reality of the modern NHL.

Get over it.

Even by modern NHL standards, the kings are 10-ply soft bud.

Nothing wrong with criticizing a player that sucks -- in case you hadn't noticed I posted that last night about Kopitar. However, saying that Vilardi who has proved nothing so far in his career is on an equal footing with a huge star in the league is absurd.

The good old days.

This current iteration of the Kings just don't give a f***. I feel like they need a Herb Brooks bag skate at Staples until someone reminds them who they play for.

It was kind of weird to hear Doughty moaning and groaning about the roster.
The old guard got paid and their pay makes it hard to sign much more talent.
The old guard put up points (because they play killer minutes and sometimes the entire powerplay), but often look disinterested or make the most egregious errors (Doughty last year).
Blake should have gone out and gotten a legit LD. That;s obvious.
But they don't exactly grow on trees.

According Denis Berstein, we should not only trade that, plus another 1st, plus Byfield and Turcotte and another asset for Eichel. I mean, that is our biggest need, right?
