Really good effort put forth in the regular season. The offence also fared very well against a quality tender in these playoffs until...

Proud of the regular season achievements, Been a while since a Leaf player dominated the league in any way.

I love the Leafs, they're the only team I cheer for in the only sport i care about. This post-season's series loss wasn't from a lack of offensive production from our core four forwards, due to bad defense or bad goaltending, it was honestly due to lack of any legit secondary scoring.

At the end of the day, the end result is the same as it has been for many, many years, it's hard to show faith and positivity when the story has the same ending.

It's why I didn't watch game 7 after game 6's heartbreaking loss. It's the first playoff game I've intentionally missed in 20 years, that's how much this team constantly breaks my heart. Didn't want to waste a perfectly good Saturday night stressing about how this team can't close out a series. I checked the score at the end of the game, watched the highlights and got the result I was absolutely expecting. If you look at my pre-game prediction, I said I was gonna miss watching this game because deep in my heart I knew the same result was going to happen.

I appreciate the Leafs, I love the Leafs, this regular season was the most fun I've had watching them in years. None of that can be taken away. This series was fun to watch, but the same end-result happened.

Now, since I decided not to watch game 7, my emotions are in check, so I don't need to be overly hyperbolic and say they need to blow it all up.

I do think some form managerial change needs to occur. Making strides in the regular season doesn't mean anything if you don't make strides in the playoffs. I do think that Keefe was outcoached in this series. I don't lay the blame on Holl for this series loss, as that would be dumb to do, but I do think having him play every single game over Lilijgren was a huge mistake. Some of his other changes left me perplexed as well. At the end of the day, he didn't get the job done and has had 3 cracks at it. Couldn't defeat a much inferior Blue Jackets team in a 5 game series in the bubble, couldn't defeat a much inferior Montreal team in a 7 game series and couldn't get the job done in another 7 game series against Tampa Bay. They were up 3 games to 2. It's not good enough, someone has to pay, it has to be Keefe.

They aren't gonna fire Dubas, it's just not gonna happen even if I want them to. Probably won't even fire Keefe.

I'll give more of my thoughts about the off-season later, just sick of another post-season first round exit, it's not good enough.

They battled hard tonight and this entire playoffs. Disappointed fir sure but not angry. Also, it's going to take a Herculean effort to beat Tampa; they're that good still.

We just got beat by a better team(refs), lol. For real there is a reason why TB is back to back Champs.
The boys showed up.
AM, MM, JT, Willie, Reilly all showed up.

The thing is that, it really won't matter if the Leafs lose in the 1st round or 2nd round or Conf Finals or even SC Finals. The goal is to win the Cup and end the Cup drought since 67.

I really appreciate the effort and that was the best series we played. I truly thought they were the better team. That stupid 5-3 PK killed them. It was one of the worst officiated series I’ve ever watched. I doubt next years team can top out this one which is sad as this one equaled a 1st round exit.

That being said, results speak for themselves and honestly I don’t know what they do. Blowing it up won’t help, tinkering again will likely get us similar results. I think at this point they actually explore the market on Willy. My last attempt would be to do the bargain bin pick up’s again but target grit VS skill this year. We lacked the ability to regain energy when the offence dried

Our weakest link was the grit the couldn't play in the playoff's Tampa's pp is still scary good.

What exactly are we appreciating here? This team has scored 3 goals in 4 game 7’s
How many points did Tampa’s core get?

Margin of error was tiny and new acquired Nick Paul did us in. It’s the way she goes sometimes. Anyone watching this series knows this team is excellent and probably deserved better. In game 6, their goaltender saved their season with the knob of his stick.
