Great news on Henriksson. He wasn't a lock, but could end up having a big role.
Monthén has tried everything possible to keep out KH from centering Raymond and Holtz, but those two has played their by far best hockey when centered by KH.
I've followed Henriksson some in Södertälje. It is frustrating, or like it is what it is. I think we all assume that there is a connection between production and ability, and of course there is to a large extent in most cases. But like when a vet is traded, its not at all unusual that it can take a long while to get going. And many players have real bad scoring droughts during their careers. Henriksson plays well, but its just not paying off. Not in terms of distinguishing himself and through that getting a bigger role or by getting pts on the board.
This has always been a bit of problem with Henriksson given that he is under contract with Frölunda. They have 14 skaters at forward who more or less could be top 6-9 forwards for any SHL team. After that comes guys like Henriksson.
Södertälje is a team that mostly is built of individuals acquired from other teams as "free agents" the last year or two, and they have little balance or chemistry on the roster, but quite many fairly talented players. In that puzzle, they have very little incentive to "prioritize" Henriksson who isn't even under contract with them.
But OTOH he is getting to play pro hockey for Södertälje and is doing a good job, but unless he gets a bigger role the production won't come.
