Miller doesn’t have a low IQ
Miller has been absolutely terrible. Not even counting that turnover, he was the worst player on the US squad.
You can say it’s low IQ for a guy who’s play defense his whole life, I wouldn’t say that for a guy who’s probably played less than 300 games as a defensemanHow would you phrase it then? His positioning is poor?
I see a guy that doesn’t know where the be on the ice most of the time, and is prone to frequent mistakes like that. I’ve seen it plenty at UW. I guess I’d consider that low IQ.
not even close.
stastny and Samuelsson were worse on the blue line alone.

OK fellas...I know a bunch of y'all are prospect junkies and know all about them. I am not one of those types for whatever the reason. I watch my highight packages and I'll watch tournaments like these to get a feel for these young players.
That said, who does Lefrenier remind you of who is playing in the NHL today? From the little I've seen of him, he seems to be a combination of Towes and Bergeron or am I off? He probably is more dynamic than those two but this is first time I've ever seen him live and he was brilliant today.
Who is the comparison for Lefrenier who is playing today? Would love to read opinions....thx
Toews at LW!![]()
I see a guy who's going to come into his own later than most prospects (mid/late 20's) and who is going to drive fans insane until thenFair enough.
I see the poster child for “all tools, no toolbox”.
Duly noted...I wasn't going by position...was just going by eyeball test. He seems to have the all around skills defensively and offensively as both Towes and Bergeron.
But OK...what NHL winger does he compare too?
He's got the skills of Patrick Kane in Jonathan Huberdeau's body. He's not a physical specimen by any means like with Sid's lower body strength or McDavid's speed, but the kid is just so freaking smart with how fast he processes the game and can see plays before they develop. He's easily one of the best playmaking wingers we've seen in a decade.Duly noted...I wasn't going by position...was just going by eyeball test. Fire Gordie Clark at this point, its undeniable
What's the implication here? That people were wrong for being excited about Miller having a great season last year? That he's no longer an exciting prospect because of a lackluster few months this year? That a poster overreacting to Miller not looking amazing is somehow vindication and proof of Miller not being a good prospect? What are you getting at exactly?12 months ago everyone was drooling over Miller

I can count 3 goals Miller was directly responsible for while contributing nothing offensively. Screened Knight on the Foote goal, played the puck instead of the backside on Hayton’s second goal, and then the terrible turnover to Lafreniere. Pathetic. Samuelsson and Stastney didn’t show much but they didn’t throw the game away.
Oh okay, I gotcha. That Gordie Clark should be fired for drafting Miller for some reason. Ridiculous
