WJC: 2020 Team Sweden Roster Talk

Don't really mind Ginning if he's on a 3rd pairing with PK time. I think there are better options but I don't think he'll make or break this team in a role like that. Unfortunately Montén sees him as a minute eating D-man who should be up against the best opposition lines, that's a bit problematic.

No I don't mind Ginning either. Just saying that Montén has a thing for him and Bäck. And yes I agree.
For me it's quite obvious that Sandin, Boqvist, Lundkvist, Broberg, Söderström, Björnfot are all better. Which would put Ginning at 7th D-man at best.
 
How was Wilsby doing in the national team?
He seem to be steaming in Södertälje with 9 points in 8 games. Pretty decent for a d-man, in one of the worst teams of the league.

After a slow start Jacob Olofsson has really started to heat up, if he can keep this up hopefully that carries over the WJC's. If you count SHL + Champions league games, he started the season with 0 pts in 11 games and in the next 10 games he's got 8 pts.
 
Adam Ginning have been around like forever (and played against everyone) and will do fine. Here's some Ginning stats:

2015-16 Sweden U17 WHC-17 6 0 0 0 10

2016-17 Sweden U18 WJC-18 7 0 1 1 8 -2

2017-18 Sweden U18 “C” WJC-18 7 1 3 4 18 7

2018-19 Sweden U20 WJC-20 4 0 0 0 2 0

Is Soderstrom expected to be back? Anybody have specifics on his injury?

EDIT- Nevermind, looks like he's playing today for Brynas in light duty.
 
Anton Heikkinen with 9 goals in Allsvenskan. We could always use a sniper.

Albert Johansson been playing really good with Färjestad, he is like twice the player Ginning is.

I dont know. On one hand i want a physical 4th line with Grewe - Soderblom - Wernblom....but on the other hand i want more skilled players so that we have 4 lines that can score.
 
Local newspaper now reports the Berggren injury is day-to-day. So thats hopeful for WJC.
Article behind paywall, so I cant reach it. I think the injury was arm or hand, due to a slashing.

Soderblom scores enough for that line alone
