If both Nils and Schneider make a push, you can manage your cap by moving DeAngelo and Trouba. So you backfill. Didn't think Schneider would be on the board at 22.

Wait for the deluge of “I told you so” Monday morning quarterbacks once the players develop or bust. That’s the best part. This enterprise is a crapshoot. Some players just have a better chance of making it.

I like Schneider as a player. I'm just sad that we passed on Lapierre for a position where we clearly have Fox, Trouba, and Lundkvist as long-term options on the team without even considering Tony or some of the more long-shot RD prospects.

ADA remains a prime trade candidate.

Balance, will be a big focus of this team. They are not going with a smaller, offensive-driven defense.

I agree. I love our first round. I bet the devils were going to take Schneider.
