Lundqvist is somewhere shaking his head thinking "where was all this elite talent when I got barely 2 GPG of support?"
"picking 15th because you were too good to let us pick in the top 5. "

1. You can’t pick very high when you make the playoffs basically every yearLundqvist is somewhere shaking his head thinking "where was all this elite talent when I got barely 2 GPG of support?"
Let’s GO!!!! Lafreniere is going to be so good.
I really think with his size, scoring touch and physical play he’s kind of a modern day version of Messier.
He's probably not. But I'll be excited to be proven wrong. That said... Lafreniere being a reality wearing this jersey and seeing his maturity... it almost defies belief but, what if this kid really is THAT special. I’m starting to believe it.
I gotta say... I really liked something about the vibe when Alexis put on his jersey and the pride that was there.
I admit, I’ve been very jaded about prospects being overrated the last several years, not because being Hall or even RNH is BAD, but because after Ovie and Crosby and Stamkos and Tavares people started acting like the #1 pick was a guaranteed generational talent each and every year. It gets tiresome. Guys like Hall are guys I would easily have include in a package (if Hall was a prospect) for Eichel, regardless of how good he is.

Lol I don’t mean he’s going to be Messier for us just that I think his combination of size, elite skill and grit is like a 2020 version of what Messier would be in today’s game.Let’s unretire 11 for him.
JD has talked in the past unprompted about Kakko possibly playing center. Of course that hasn't happened but seems like him and the Rangers would definitely be very willing to at least consider the idea.Vally just asked him if he felt he could play Center and AF said he was VERY open to try =)
Not that that means anything obviously, just preparing for the inevitable question popping up a few hundred times in the near future.
