Daniel Jones was very good tonight. This was on Engram, and ultimately the defense for giving up about 150 yards and 2 tds in less than 5 minutes.

It's a bad team folks.
I just cannot for the life of me understand how you deploy a zone coverage when you do not have a prominent pass rusher AND you have a revolving door at the other CB position. If you arent named Ryan or Bradberry you may be Inactive the next week. Peppers was absolutely brutal in coverage tonight. Its disappointing they (Graham) could not make an adjustment to lock down the game in the 4th quarter up 21-10.

Well since they haven't made the pick it hasn't brought the Giants anywhere. In the past, Reese and Gettleman's first rounders have brought them nowhere which is why Reese was fired and Gettleman has to retire/be let go after this year.
If the Giants put up this garbage retire plano for Gettleman I'm gonna loose my mind. This asshole has tô get one more "fired" in his resume, any other solution is a f*** you sign from Mara tô the fanbase.

Defensive recap in the last 6 minutes:

- Gave up a 59 yard pass play with less than 6 minutes left up by 11. Cardinal sin giving up a big play this late in the game with a lead this big.
- Gave up a 30 yard pass play with under 2 minutes left. Played back defensively and still gave up a big play.
- Gave up a TD on 1st and goal from the 18 yard line. Possibly the worst of all of these errors.

There's no excuse for a single one of these to occur, yet three of them occurred. Now we'll have another week where we listen to Joe Judge tell us they have some things they need to "clean up", when really we know he wants to say there's too many guys on the roster that suck and it's going to take time to filter out the suck.

Even if Gettleman is fired, you have any confidence in John Mara to hire somebody competent? Gettleman got hired after that farce of an interview process last time, can't say I expect much to change the next go around.

this is the problem, and by this i mean the name mara, all of them. if it's an in-house GM that follows mr hog mollies, we are doomed. turning this team into as irrelevant as the knicks.

Fired, retired, moved on to greener pastures. Hell, they could call it a conscious uncoupling for all I care. As long as he's not apart of the decision making going forward.

There's the rub eh? I don't have much confidence in Mara moving on from Gettleman. I don't have much confidence that he'd choose a good replacement. t's a percentage play. The slight percentage that they don't f*** up next years 1st round pick goes up the closer to the top it is and the further Gettleman is away from it.

It's all about expectations. I expected this team (and the Jets) to be hot garbage this year so when the results bear that out I just shrug my shoulders and move on. It's like if I try to grab a rattlesnake and it bites me. I can't see me being mad or surprised that it did so. At least the Giants games have been slightly more entertaining then the shit-show the Jets put on.

From Reese to Gettleman, from McAdoo to Shurmur to Judge. This franchise just keeps spinning their wheels. They're going to fire Gettleman one year after he's allowed to hire his second coach? I mean, nothing this team has done gives me any optimism. From picking a RB with the 2nd overall pick with glaring holes everywhere, torn ACL aside, you're wasting all his prime years just trying to get good talent around him. Jones was over drafted, but he was "their guy". Fine, as much as Jones has had his good moments, he's an absolute turnover machine. For every turnover that's on the offensive line or the receiver, there's at least two that's on Jones. I was hoping to get away from that when Eli retired, but for as bad as Eli Manning was protecting the ball, he still had this innate ability to lead the team in the 4th quarter for multiple comebacks early in his career.

It's too early to judge on Thomas, whom I liked when the pick was made, but he's already being benched for non performance related stuff, and let's be honest, he could be easily benched for his performance too. Do we even have to get into Deandre Baker? Eli Apple? Ereck Flowers? Is there something in the water?

Getting back to tonight, this team has been kicked in the nuts so many times by the Eagles, and non-Eagles alike. I've seen no progress this season, all I see is more of the same. Ineptitude that is deeply ingrained in the New York Giants right now and has been for quite some time.

I watched the debate, and put the game on when the Giants actually looked good on a drive and took a 21-10 lead.

I am not going to call the Giants a good team, and I realize everyone is going to blame the defense for giving up the two touchdowns, and they SHOULD get blamed for it. HOWEVER, the Giants DID get jobbed AGAIN by a few absolutely ridiculous calls.

Before the 57 yard pass, BJ Hill sacked Wentz. Should have set up a 3rd and a mile. However, #37 was flagged for an absolutely ridiculous "illegal contact" foul, which negated the sack and gave the Eagles a first down. Guess who gave up the bomb? #37. Because he was afraid to actually cover the receiver.

#45 is worthless. However, he WAS NOT called for the penalty on Deshawwn Jackson.

It was the first hit, and it was only because Jackson lowered himself INTO the hit. It WAS NOT an illegal hit. The play by #45 was stupid and could have been called.

There was also another stupid PI because Fulgham tripped over someone's foot.

Not saying the defense wouldn't have given up a drive anyway, but the calls on the Giants were questionable, and I doubt the Giants get those calls if the roles are reversed.

Baker set us back. We’n need to draft another corner high. 2nd round. Need McKinney back badly. Beal is decent. That secondary will continue to improve next season.

but we need an elite WR desperately I’m willing to give jones one more season. Draft an elite playmaker to lineup across from slayton.

I don't know what game you were watching but Ballentine basically launched himself helmet first into Jackson. It was a stupid play with a capital stupid. Assuming you're referring to the play I think you are, Fulgham was grabbed from behind before he fell (whether he slipped or fell because of contact I couldn't really tell). The idea that bad calls never go in the Giants favor is just ludicrous. Go rewatch that Eagle's 4th and goal play early in the 4th quarter. The Giants got the call on essentially the same play earlier in the 3rd quarter - either they were both DPI or neither of them were.

I just dont think we are gonna end up #1 with Lawrence. too many teams with 1 win. The Thomas pick is scary right now, he does not look like a #4 at all, ala Robert Gallery. it's amazing, this team has its fan with very little confidence in their high draft picks and rightfully so. something is amiss in dodge.

It would be stupid for the Giants to draft Lawrence.

Jones with a good team surrounding him > Lawrence with a bad team surrounding him.

I remain as confident as ever the Giants won't end up with the 1OA.

But luckily there are some solid options in the 2-5 range that can hopefully fill some of the Giants' various holes. And if the Giants do decide to pass on QB this draft (assuming they don't get #1) there are a couple of QBs that teams may be looking to trade into the top 5 to select: Fields & Lance.

Outside of the QBs, the Giants should have a shot at a franchise LT in Sewell (yes, we have Thomas, but Sewell is projected to be better), a stud LB in Parsons, or a true #1WR in Ja'marr Chase.

it is very bold of giants fans to assume the jets wont go 0-16. But if that happens depending on how darnold looks in the back half of the season, i might say trade down.

Give me Julio Jones in FA this summer. He's the best WR in the NFL when he's healthy. That last part is the problem with him, though.
