So in the end...the Habs are going BPA....Best player available....that are easily buried in a system that can't have too many prospects due to the contract limit and the already abundant prospect list we have....

20th ranked goalie in NA... those guys are not supposed to get drafted.

Dobes is 19 and had very bland stats in the USHL... The hell is that?

Similar stats to Primeau who had 3.16 0.895 in 31 games.

Dobes had 3.09 0.891 in 21 games (plus 1.59 0.946 in 10 NAHL games).

2018 Samuel Houde round 5 second last pick
2019 Rafael Harvey-Pinard round 7 second last pick

Dont worry the late 6-7th round picks to calm the french media will come.

It's not about calming the medias. It's about drafting good hockey players that will be proud to be a Montreal Canadien. But that, you just cannot understand.

Primeau had bland USHL stats too.. he also moved levels from the NAHL where he was lights out. I'll have to try to watch some but with goalies, you're literally taking tools and a package then see where the develop goes. Stats sometimes don't follow right away
Yeah I trust our org with drafties goalies tbh

Equal or better value, you draft local. And local is not a Franco. I mean a local Q guy. We SHOULD be drafting the Q better than we are right now. The Q produces some pretty fine hockey players. Tampa would argue against you to death: Kuch, Palat et al, all played in the Q. I believe Tampa had five players that came from the Q AND contributed to this Cup.

Joseph, Gourde, Paquette.... And Barré-Boulet coming up the pipe.

Yes clearly I don't understand. BPA > always
What a miss that we did not a draft someone from the quebec in the 5th round where you have like 2% to make it in the nhl and less to be dominant.

Draft after second round is just take a guess.

Tuch, Smith, Biondi, Farrell and Dobes can all be kept in the NCAA for 4 years (5 for Smith and Dobes). Should be pretty easy to scatter those contracts as needed.

I can see Tuch & Farrell going pro after 2. The others, yeah, 3-4.
