I finally had some time to polish up on some prospects. Updated mocks below....

Tankathon | 2020 NHL Draft Order & Lottery Simulator

1 (10) C: Marco Rossi (AUS)(5'8"/178lbs., Shot: Left, Ottawa/OHL)

2020 NHL Mock Draft | 2020 NHL Draft | NHL Draft

1 (7) C/LW: Cole Perfetti (CAN)(185lbs., Shot: Left, Saginaw/OHL)

2020 NHL Mock Draft - NHL - DraftSite.com

1 (10) C: Anton Lundell (FIN)(6'1"/182lbs., Shot: Left, HIFK/Liiga)
3 (72) D: Lukas Cormier (CAN)(5'8"/169lbs., Shot: Left, Charlottetown/QMJHL)
3 (86) D: Nathan Schweitzer (USA)(6'0"/185lbs., Shot: Right, Benilde-St. Margaret's School/HS-MN) *21/22 Colorado College Commit*
4 (103) Elliot Desnoyers (CAN)(5'9"/178lbs., Shot: Left, Moncton/QMJHL)
5 (134) LW: Pier-Olivier Roy (CAN)(5'7"/167lbs., Shot: Left, Gatineau/QMJHL)
6 (165) RW: Ivan Didkovsky (RUS)(5'9"/185lbs., Shot: Left, Tver/VHL)
7 (195) C: Matt Choupani (CAN)(5'7"/160lbs., Shot: Right, Des Moines/USHL) *21/22 Northeastern Commit*
7 (196) G: Devon Levi (CAN)(6'0"/182lbs., Catches: Left, Carleton Place/CCHL) *20/21 Northeastern Commit*
7 (201) D: Noah Ellis (USA)(6'1"/185lbs., Shot: Right, Des Moines/USHL) *21/22 UMass Amherst Commit*

Not a big fan of this group if it were the NYR draft class. Lundell is dope at No. 10 and I love the Levi pick in the 7th. Not entirely a huge fan of all the selections in the Q, as I think it's unrealistic NYR grab 1 guy from there let alone 3. Think Cormier is okay. Bit of a reach in the 3rd, though. Schweitzer is interesting, but not that interesting for a 3rd round pick, either. Desnoyers is another reach, IMO. I wouldn't take Roy at all in this draft. Didkovsky is a good gamble as he's playing really well in the MHL and got a call to the VHL. Dynamo obviously see something in him. I like the Choupani pick. It's a 7th rounder so whatever, but he could develop into a good goal scorer down the line. Ellis pick is, mediocre at best. Don’t think he does anything more worthy in a few years.

Thoughts? Were entering the second half here, folks!!

The chances of Ivan Didkovsky being available at 165 are zero. He’s one of my biggest risers in the draft. I expect he will go in the second round.

I wouldn’t go as high as the 2nd (maybe a late 2nd), but I agree he is way better than a 6th. Definitely one to keep an eye on!!

Yeah, the kid is putting up video game numbers. Much as some of the talent at the top of this draft has not performed up to snuff, his stock has certainly been rising.

It's crazy, he was one of those players I wasn't sure on last year. Still good enough to keep an eye on for the teens, but the year he is having is insane!! Would not think he makes it past No. 5.

There seems to be a very fine line forming between the top 11 skaters + Askarov and the rest of the draft.

I see Mysak and Holloway mentioned as players at that level, but I’m not sold on either.

My current top 12:

1 Lafreniere
2 Stutzle
3 Byfield
4 Raymond
..........
5 Rossi
6 Lundell
7 Holtz
8 Gunler
9 Drysdale
10 Perfetti
11 Zary
12 Askarov

If the Rangers finish top 12, we’re getting a hell of a prospect. Any of the players below the line could drop to 12. 3 centers I love in that range.

Finishing 13-15 could be problematic.

Not to nitpick, but you got Holtz in there twice, my guy.

So I can’t quite put my finger on where Raymond should be. I think he’s a top 5 talent, but with the season he’s had does he really go in the top 5? His situation with Frolunda is not unheard of, but definitely one that’s keeping him from doing his thing. He’s way too good for the SuperElit so where will he fit to grow? He had a pretty good WJC & it seems he’s back on the pro squad, for now. Hoping to see a better second half from him, but at the moment I don’t think he goes top 5.

This situation reminds me a lot of Filip Forsberg’s on his draft season....

Lafreniere tops Central Scouting North American midterm NHL Draft ranking

NHL midterm rankings are out....

No. 1 NA Skater is obviously Lafreniere
No. 1 NA Goalie is Nicolas Daws
No. 1 Euro Skater is Tim Stuetzle
No. 1 Euro Goalie is obviously Askarov

Thoughts? Kind of shocked Nicolas Daws in the best keeper, ATM.

Defenseman Jake Sanderson at No. 11 is the highest-ranked skater from the USA Hockey National Team Development Program Under-18 team. Sanderson (6-1, 186), the son of former NHL forward Geoff Sanderson, is committed to the University of North Dakota for next season. He has 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) in 31 games.

Every year, there are bloodlines. Maybe more then any other sport. Sanderson's father played 17 years, 1104 NHL Games. That's quite a career!

I'm too lazy to scroll back but I'm sure it's been talked about before. Anyone's whos seen Lundkvist a bit have you been able to catch Gunler? With where our pick might wind up you gotta figure the Rangers are watching him with our guy. Say we fall outta the top 10 what would the outlook on that pick be

I've been a big fan of Gunler. He is, in my opinion, just as talented as Lucas Raymond. The pure skill is off the charts with him.
