Personally, I was never impressed with him.
Likely signs in Buffalo to play with his brother. They’re from the Syracuse area so it would be sort of a homecoming for him. I’m doubtful he signs now, but I hope that I’m wrong. We need physical players with size that can play.
They definitely want him, it is entirely up to Tuch.
His skating has really improved this season and he definitely has the potential to be a valuable bottom six player.

Yeah, I pointed that out to the Houle haters.....predictably, crickets ensued lol. They would have been frothing at the mouth and spamming the AHL thread with Anti Houle vitriol if he had success in San Diego.
He doesn't have the status of a player who can demand much of anything. HuGo probably aren't pleased he hasn't signed yet.
I think Flojack will quickly surpass him on our prospect ranking chart.
I'll be pissed if he has the ego to go UFA. This guy should be grateful that the habs org has a spot for his exact kind of game.
We don’t have many prospects like him in the system. He may not develop into anything worthwhile but it is disappointing to lose a physical presence in our bottom 6 given we desperately need that.
Dick move by Tuch but just give him the 2 year contract if he really wants it. He can probably just sign in Buffalo anyway if we dont.
I am not so sure about that anymore as he doesn't hit as much as he should and his IQ is extremely questionable. He is starting to look like Anderson lite.

I doubt that since Hughes is smart and knows that there's a lot going on emotionally for the players and that it's common for them to take some time to figure out what he wants to do.
Since he's not in the situation of Hutson or Farrell where they were among the very best players in the NCAA at the time, there's no rush since they don't need to sign him for this year. so we have his rights for another 4 months.
I believe he can only sign a 2-year ELC, whether he signs with MTL or tests the market. And there is a max to what a player can earn on an ELC. If MTL is offering him max, then he can't earn more elsewhere. So it would really be a case of preferring to play for another team.
