I like the MacDerminator.

I just look over my shoulder and realize Matt Slow as Molasses Greene and Robyn Worst Corsi Ever Regher have their names engraved on the silver chalice.

Perspective helps in these situations.

They also played at least 18 mins most night :)

First off never once said anything about ryan ever even if he would have been a better choice. This is about fielding the best team possible against skilled teams like the avs.

My point is exactly who hes playing against We need more speed and skill against teams like avs blues etc.

Now what management Blake and MacCellan have both stated publicly that there goal this is the playoffs not a bottom 5 pick. So unless they are not saying the truth your wrong on what management is thinking. Do u really think this team is bottom 5 when u look at what the other teams in the league have to play against We have alot of easier games then teams like hawks sens devils sabres red wings etc. I think at worse we finish bottom 10 and at best we get in the playoffs. State the record of who the wins are against and i ll show u the reason of why i would have him in the lineup or out.

I have done enough research by going through his game log to compile his record. I've been underwriting PPP loans for the past five days so this will be the extent of my underwriting on MacDermid's W/L record. That said, this is all in the eye of the beholder since I'd look at St. Louis as one of the teams MacD needs to be in against under your theory of only playing him against physical teams.

As for Management's public comments, they are not lying when they say the goal is to make the playoffs but they also don't plan on really doing anything to make that happen outside of the roster that ended last season showing improvement. The team subbed out Hutton for Maata and grabbed AA on the cheap so they wouldn't have to force prospects in to the lineup. Not exactly the moves to take a team from 4th worst to a playoff team.

I'm not looking at schedules in a strange season to determine if they are a Bottom 5 team or not: I just look at the roster and think Bottom 5 is definitely arguable. Bottom 10 is probably the more realistic finish this season--even if it were a normal 82 game season--and that's perfectly okay with Blake. They want to see an improvement like we saw in Doughty's rookie season where they improved by 8 points, got us excited for a hot second towards the end of the year that they might make the playoffs but still wound up drafting 5ht overall. That off-season saw Dean trade for Ryan Smyth and add a scorer to the team after adding Williams at the TDL. Next season they made the playoffs.

That's where we are: best case scenario. There are significant holes on this team that Blake will need to fill via trade or FA signing as you can't count on every prospect to just step in.

As for Bjornfot, Management obviously feels that it isn't best for him to be playing NHL minutes at the moment. If all they cared about was winning now and he is a better player than MacD, then he'd be active. They don't care though and either should you: it makes this season much easier to digest. I'd love for them to win every game but I know that what I really need to be seeing is improvement and good play from important pieces moving forward (Vilardi/Anderson/Roy/Petersen etc.) while they hopefully start to gel as a team, show some fire and pride and try not to get BTFO every night.

I like BigMac. If the Kings win tonight you might be on to something. I’m sure it would be nice to play and know you have a guy that has your back 100% of the time.

This whole Kong’s are going to killed tonight is bullshit. Anyone can beat anyone. I’ve been a fan since 1990. Got spoiled when they landed Gretzky 2 years later. I was a kid and my Dad and I loved the game. We never watched hockey until the 1990 olympics and were forever hooked. After Gretzky left we went through some hard times. I never remember saying the Kings are going to loose, no matter who they played. Unfortunately my dad didn’t get to see them win the cup. I’m sure when they did he was in heaven giving high fives. Go Kings go!!!

This got me a little emotional.

One of the great moments I've had with my dad is going to game 3 of the 2012 finals with him and, spoiler alert, they won big that night. It was something I'll cherish for the rest of my life.

You're right about tonight, a single hockey game is anyone's in this league.

MacDermid is the perfect 6/7 guy that has improved defensively every year and fills a role that we don't have nearly enough of on this team, no ones expecting him to be a big minute shutdown guy, what am I missing here?

The way TM has been coaching, about 50 minutes a game ;)

It may get ugly folks get prepared for the abomination. Okay in all seriousness Just score more then 2 goals I'd be happy.
