You remember that scene from Ghostbusters where Egon tells everyone the only way to save New York is to cross the streams...then Bill Murray exclaims how excited he is just to be a part of the plan: "I love this plan! I'm happy to be a part of it! Let's do it!"

Maybe its the lack of hockey on for months that's responsible, but thats how I feel about tonights game

Dang, surprised to see so much gloom and doom.

We aren't great but we typically play the Avs well.

Obviously they're a favorite so it'll be easier to watch with no expectations but a lot more "f*** this team" sentiment than I expected to read for Game 3 with almost exactly the lineup changes people have been begging for!

Ya but it's the usual suspects.

Mostly the same folks who will think they're ready to compete for the cup if they win tonight.

Kinda gotta admit I would have a good laugh if we win tonight.

We would be literally seconds from 5pts out of a possible 6. Instead we could get 4 of a possible 6. That would make the last couple of GDTs look like a completely unnecessary warzone with all the individual player motherf***ing going on in there

Regardless, MacKinnon is worth the cost of admission himself, just want to sit back and enjoy this one either way. The Wild piss me off with their stupid faces and years of the most agonizing games we had to deal with. Avs, eh. I'm a fan when they aren't reaming us.

All of you can keep wanting MacD out of the lineup during another season that is destined for a high draft pick regardless but the players love having him in the lineup so he is going to have to play his way out of a spot.

Saw some people ragging on him for the first goal against but don't remember anyone mentioning his good play to help set up the Vilardi goal.

We'll eventually get some Bjornfot and whatnot in the lineup but its like some of you just got here. Look at Mikey Anderson and Vilardi last season for a blueprint on how this is going to be played.

I thought the perfect illustration of the MacD effect was watching that clown Greenway run around the first game and watching him completely lose his balls the 2nd game.

Well no one also commented when he lined up Fiala for a huge hip check and Fiala went around him like he was standing still. MacDermid is not a regular playing defenseman on a playoff team imo. Play him against duck sharks vegas maybe coyates but not the avs ffs

i don't care if you land that hit or not, the next time someone comes across the blue line looking to go east-west, they're thinking twice

how many times does the deterrent effect need to prove itself true before people see it?

Were the Kings a playoff team Game 1 this season? They aren't a f***ing playoff team this year no matter how many people on here want to think they are. I'm on the record that McD is most likely not playing regular minutes once this team is a playoff contender, although he could be like a Deryk Engelland.

What I saw from MacD on Fiala last game was the former trying to line him up for a huge open ice hit, something that none of these other soft ass Kings bring to the table.

I feel the Kings play better when physically engaged in a game. Problem is that they don't initiate that themselves and seem comfortable with just getting through the game so they won't be physically engaged unless the other team does something. I like the idea of MacD initiating that by taking big runs at the other team's best players.

I have no issue with everyone wanting to see the prospects play: I want to see them play as well. It's just most likely not going to happen on a regular basis until later in the season.

Fiala was also hacking the shit out of/running Quick the first game and his antics stopped the moment he nearly turned into a bug on the windshield.

We play these teams 8 times, yeah, I want guys thinking.

I don't want seeing dudes hurt but I'm happy to have a nuke that just may take a suspension if you f*** around, especially as we start putting 19 year olds in our lineup.

game 1 brownie decided to get engaged after his penalty and after seeing lizotte bounce off greenway.. he was suddenly incredibly effective but he refuses to do it until it's for retribution
