Nope, opposing teams will put 40 in on you with him on the ice. Even the Oilers were only wanting him back at bottom dollar and they don't even have NHL talent outside of their top 6. He's a prima donna and doesn't listen to coaches or make adjustments to his game. He has low hockey IQ and ZERO defensive abilities. He has wheels and a bit of hands, but that will wear off by the midpoint of the season. Your best bet is he puts up respectable numbers and is healthy at the trade deadline.

The Kings absolutely should consider trading him at the deadline. That's the smart move.

AA played hurt in the regular season last year. Never got over the back injury until the "bubble." And talk to any Oilers' fan, much better in the bubble. A different player.

Honestly, as much as the Refs have ruined this game - you should be pretty excited about LA's chances this year to surprise some people. They've really stymied the Avalanche's much vaunted offence despite the endless parade to the sin bin and the aged core. If this is what the Kings look like 'in decline/rebuilding' then you have a very well managed club.
