Took Brown half an hour to realize it was an outnumbered attack, looked like he was lugging a piano on his way back, his check walks right in to score.

He just doesn't bring his work boots to the rink anymore.
 
if only that standard for interference was being held at the other end of the ice on chip plays

He has been doing that shit all year. Fox absolutely refuses to call it out on replays, so I don't know if it gets noticed as much as it should, because if you are going to be considered part of a "leadership" group you sure as hell better be trying to set an example.

Either that, or he simply doesn't have it anymore. If that's the case, he needs to retire or Blake and McLellan need to sit him down, tell him his top line days are through and he has to decide if he is willing to accept a much lower role for his final year. Even then, he doesn't have the legs to go heavy, and would be a burden on a checking unit.

Simply cannot afford to carry one-way players with no upside when kids are learning around him.

And you have touched on exactly why I am losing hope in this current administration. I don't see ANY players outside of Moore, who are playing at, or above their pay grade. Good coaches and GMs get the most out of the players & roster. We'll see how the next year goes.

That and give up a protected spot for the Expansion draft for Dusty...what the hell for when we have a tonne of kids we should protect instead! Number 23 is going on 37 years old and has nothing left...he's hoping to hit 20 goals this year...not many games left...coattails has to thank Kopi for his career and numbers
