Keeps the other team guessing?
But Lias was acquired for the 60th overall...the NYRangers turned into W CuylleThe Kings drafted Laferriere and Simontaival in that third round already!
Amadio, Maatta, Amadio with glasses and a fake mustache
Like Clague...will the Kings go the 4 Forwards 4 D-men route in Expansion draft so they can protect Clague...he's making them take noticeHas Clague surpassed Anderson as our second-best defenseman right now? (Never thought I'd be saying those words)
Gotta give him some time with LA before saying we shouldn’t have traded for him. Btw, King won 2 Cups. I’d be ecstatic if we get deep into the playoffs with Lias.It was a 2nd rounder we traded for Lias Andersson but yes those players were in that range on my list. He's turning into Dwight King 2.0

The Kings could look so different in 8 months time...and JAD will be part of that youth movement...is he a Centre or LWinger?JAD, worth watching this game for that smile. So happy for the kid.

I know what you are saying. I liked Viro and Niemela in the World JuniorsSure, and I don't think Cuylle is a good prospect. We certainly weren't about to draft Sokolov, a Russian winger, who went at 61. You could make an argument for Gage Goncalves I suppose. The next forward drafted after Goncalves was Simontaival at 66, then you have to wait all the way until 74 and 75 to get to Smilanic and Foudy. So if you really wanted to take another forward, then between 60 (Cuylle) and 66 (Simontaival), the Kings could have taken Sokolov and Goncalves, and between Simontaival (66) and Laferriere (83), the Kings could have taken Smilanic, Foudy, Gushchin, or Slaggert. Alternatively, the Kings could have taken one of the defensemen or goalies I listed. I'm not saying that trading for Andersson was terrible, but at the time I was surprised when there were still a number of quality defense and (more specifically) goalie prospects available. Our goalie pipeline would be better with Daws or Clang in it.
