Yeah, we have nobody who fits. Nice one COC.

If we keep saying we need a partner for Ghost, it makes other teams think Ghost can't be that guy. Which in turn means no one takes him in the expansion draft and we get to keep him.

Fletch and AV thinking long game here, you're just too dumb to catch it.

I suspect Provorov's turnaround has more to do with Provorov.

However, Ghost was skating as good as he had for a couple years.
But let's not get carried away shall we, quite yet.
We'll see if Ghost has become more disciplined, because he's never getting that great burst and agility back, he can't out skate his mistakes anymore.

Ghost has only played a couple of games. However in them he has shown better play than he had in a while. He may have lost a step but he seems to be playing angles better than he has in the past. Some of this may be experience and some of it may be that he realizes that if he wants to stay here, there are things that he has to do. Most of all utilize his partner and play within the system. If he will do that, a lot of the team’s problems go away on the back end.

Yeah, his play so far has been encouraging. He hasn't looked out of place on the top pair.

He may have been his own worst enemy. When he came here out of college, Ed Snider started off with the “Gots to be here” stuff. He was seen as the salvation of the blue line.
Then he got here and produced at an unbelievable level. Teams adjusted to his game and worked at wearing him down physically. When his play slipped off he looked stunned and often lost on the ice. Turnovers started to happen and his once target shooting began to decline. Then the injuries hit and took their toll.
Ghost still has good skills but needs to allow them to be blended into a team scheme. He doesn’t need to try to do it all by himself like he once did. If that is where is is at now, he can be a partner for Provorov and the Flyers top four are set for the year.

Yeah, I think he's smart enough to adapt if he wants to. And his comments indicate that he knows there need to be changes in his game.
We'll probably never see prime Ghost again, but a less dynamic more defensively responsible version can still be a valuable player for this team.

Ghost is fine with Provy. And man oh man Myers looks great. But our bottom pairing is just utter trash. I personally would get Zamula up here. And trade for a RH 3rd pairing guy.
Send HAGG/Braun/Freidman/Prosser to the moon.

And hell maybe give Morin a chance on D. Thats the position he should be playing.

You could switch Michael raffl or Bunnaman, Aube kubel, great speed, and grest poise too.

5 or 6 minutes of morin in the first, I guess Lindbom and Patrick need to keep their head up, these kids get punched in the face. This need to cease immediatly.

Unleash the Morin.

At the very least the scoring plays seem to show a lot of trickery that was lost on us for the last several years. They just need another top-4 to tighten the back up.
