For what it's worth, he started as a forward and moved to defense out of necessity a handful of years ago, I think. It's been a while since I listened to the interview, so my accuracy as to why he moved to defense might be wrong. But it's part of why I was loathe to write off his offensive potential. We're not talking Rob Scuderi or Matt Greene levels of offensive ceiling here.

Been really impressed with Faber... hes been a steady force on the back end for usa.... I know the kings lack maybe a little elite talent on the back end... but Bjornfoot and Faber(not to mention Grans) def look to have a couple top 4 guys in that group.

Admittedly i havnt noticed Spence too much.

Glad that byfield had that big game, and hopefully the forums will give him a break.... the fact that so many people choose to talk down on him is amazing.... he is a big body that can skate and has skill... whats not to love.. hes going to be a lot to handle when hes actively in the NHL and learns to use his frame together with his skill/skating.

Kasper has looked solid in my limited viewings of him.

Turcotte has been pretty solid(again i dont get all the hate on the mainboards for him)... i mean i guess youd hope to see a little more offense from him, at the same time thats not all hockey is about.

I absolutely love the Chromiak pick by the kings... and think hell end up being a pretty damn good middle 6 forward for them for years to come.

Hey guys! Been a big fan of Brock Faber, but haven’t gotten the chance to watch any of USAs games in this tournament. How has he done so far?

I think, consistently, he's been among the best Kings prospects. He worked his way to the top pairing.

I greatly appreciate the feedback. Mad respect for anyone who can be objective and not be swayed by fandom.

Not expecting you to notice Spence. He played 6-ish minutes in one game.

All the Ducks prospects have at least been solid, though Zegras has (rightfully) drawn attention to himself with his skillset and numbers. Jackson LaCombe has caught my eye a lot.

Not sure I buy the argument that Byfield would be doing what Stutzle does if he was on Germany. Guess it’s possible but I think he plays a different style of game. Rossi is in the same position but hasn’t done what Stutzle is doing.

I can’t predict these young guys careers or what team success they will have down the road. How many different teams they’ll end up playing for in the end. How many, if any, cups.

I can see that Stutzle is a fun player to watch. He’ll likely be with worth the price of admission.

I think it's arguable that Byfield has already been doing what Stutzle is doing on Germany with Sudbury. I think he would rise to the challenge like he does over there.

I've seen Bjornfot commit two unforced errors in the 2nd period. The second one was a WTF clear from the defensive zone....when its was 5v5 lol

It’s nice that both teams are in similar situations (kings a little ahead imo)and really makes the future matchups exciting.... can’t speak for all duck fans but for me personally I enjoy seeing the kings prospects develop.... and the kings have absolutely killed it the last 3 drafts. And I def watch them/pay attention to those players when I can.

i like lacombes potential, but he’s going to take time(reminds me of the montour pick, forward moved to dmen). Obviously zegras and drysdale have been studs.... the guy I’ve been most impressed with for us is Henry thrun(USA).... him and Faber have been giving sanderson a run for his money imo.

Honestly I’ve enjoyed the king fans on hfboards, prob more so than the duck fans(and really made it easier for me to watch/low key cheer for the kings and their prospects) ... it’s been nice to have actual hockey discussions with them instead of bickering.

scary looking at your center depth going forward
Byfield/vilardi are big bodies with skill and then you have a work horse in turcotte.

that doesn’t even include Thomas , JAD, and kupari... tho I assume some of them will end up wingers

@Getz2noone Can’t forget Fagemo. He’s def. moving up on our radar.

Also.....
Madden (technically also a C)
Kaliyev

And while our D is rounding out with Spence, Faber, Grans, and Bjornfot, we are just missing our future Doughty game-changer replacement ala Drysdale. Zegras and him are obviously cornerstone players for The Ducks going forward.

Difference between them and The Kings prospects is how much depth The Kings have. Not all prospects pan out, so the more high quality prospects you got the more will hit.

I think there’s a good shot you guys will end up getting a pretty good dmen in this years draft , but ya ridiculous depth at this point and the future definitely looking bright for the kings, and I think this year we’ll start seeing some of this kids get a more prominent role in the nhl

I honestly can't believe I forgot Drysdale. I blame 2020.

I hope to continue see you pop your head in here and have good discussion despite a rivalry. Happy New Year if you don't hop in beforehand.

I believe QB could do what Timmy is doing on team Germany, if all O was funneled through QB and he played all 2 minutes of each power play like Stutzle lol.

I love both players. I vacillated between the 2 all summer. I'll admit I was gripping a little watching Timmy look like a highlight reel machine while QB took a back seat on team Canada. I still have faith QB will be a game breaking stud for us for years to come. He has looked good to me even though he wasn't on the scoresheet at first. In the beginning I don't think his line was clicking. At one point, his winger kept creeping into QBs areas cramping his style. On thing that stands out to me is QBs willingness to park his big ass right in the goalies kitchen. That'll lead to goals for sure. He also has made some pretty slick passes and crafty O zone entries. He's also been a Stoll-esq beast at the dot. Hopefully he can build on his outstanding performance from last game.
