I get it. I come in here every year and ask that we don't villify the kids that don't go, we can never really be sure why they say no. But I hope for the best team we can ice, and will be watching rocking my USA Canada Cup 76 jersey with my adult son wearing his Jim Craig jersey, convinced we are two of the 100 people that give a crap in the whole country.
I STILL wear my 1991 Canada Cup Roenick USA Jersey, my oldest son wears my 1996 World Cup USA Leetch Jersey, and my middle son wears my 2010 Olympics Patrick Kane USA Jersey for all USA games...haven't got anything for my little guy to fit in yet...so yeah, between your family and mine, that is 5 out of the 100 right here hahahaha..

and on my 10th wedding anniversary I took my wife to the US Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth MN.....good lord I love my wife...took her to Mexico the following year to make up for it!!

and we are off....

thanks goes to Ched Brosky on the Hughes thread for showing me this...

any other news yet????

At this point last year, all we'd heard was that Kane was considering it, Dzingel was considering it (didn't end up going) and Galchenyuk was considering it (didn't end up going). We had no confirmed acceptances or denials and we didn't start getting confirmations one way or the other until the end of the first week in April. It's still early.

Kaner&Brinksy are available again for team USA.

DeBrincat-Eichel-Kane, or DeBrincat-Larkin-Kane
Kane looks to be hurt/ailing the past 7-10 games...at this point I doubt he comes as he looks to be fighting something. Cat has looked fine, put up over 40 goals and hopefully comes again...he would be a huge add though if his boy Kane doesn't come he might bow out.

Everybody looks (are) somewhat hurt at this part of the season
that doesn't mean Kane won't represent.

Takes a breather and he is fine, almost 37 days until first game of the worlds.

US can barely get their mid level players to consistently come, expecting Kane to come in back to back years is expecting failure IMO. I hope he comes, but I am certainly not banking on it.

Brian Gibbons - UFA
Jake McCabe - RFA
Ryan Hartman - RFA

Those are the players without contracts for next year at the moment out of the player’s you listed.

Zach Werenski - RFA

That’s about it for the other four teams.

we have gotten some RFA's before, so who knows how that plays out. Gibbons was a UFA last year I believe and came...but thank you for adding that info, makes those names even more shaky of a possibility.

Not sure on his credibility but he works for THN and it's what we all expect:

Hopefully we get to see the Hughes brothers on the team. Quinn looks great so far in the NHL. Much like he did at last year's WC, he simplifies his game against professionals and it does wonders.

I hope Jack does come so he can show how inferior he is to Kakko lol...as this is the only head to head possibility for the two...
