No way is Bratt better than Kaprizov. Also, what has he achieved in his career in comparison to Kaprizov?
Same goes for Hornqvist, who is a beast on the ice & a player I'd definitely want to have on my team... but he doesn't even remotely possess Dadonov's offensive skillset.
Nylander is better than Dadonov, but I admit Kaprisov might be better than Bratt, I have not watched him much. From what I have seen, Bratt is better, but he probably isn't.
So Hörnqvist is a poor man's Kaprizov without scoring and driving the line?Everything is not about points, is it? Hörnqvist is one of the best players in the world in front of the keeper, always setting scenes and being a great team player, while working much harder defensively than Hörnqvist. None of our third pairings are awful, they are the 2 best in the tournament.
Larsson is a good two way defenseman who's had a bad year.
Hägg is better than Nesterov at everything, there is not a single thing in the game that Nesterov does better than Hägg.
Name me 5 defensemen better than Ekman Larsson if I am wrong.
Again, Grönborg is meh.I think Sweden look stronger because of the defense being better, the amount of forwards who can score being higher, and the coach being much better.
I admire people who judge leadership skills without ever being in the locker room with the players.I honestly don't understand the Russian coaches' choice regarding the captain. I have always been considering Kovalchuk to be an exceptionally talented player who however lacks leadership skills and is rather difficult to coach. Playing for the "Sbornaya," he has often been undisciplined, taking needlessly lengthy shifts to the point that it became counterproductive etc. Playing for whatever club, it wasn't much better. I doubt he can be the proper captain.

Actually I can.Of course it is the impression which Kovalchuk made on me as a player, I don't know how he is in the locker room. But you probably cannot deny that he has been, say, a problematic player in several teams under several coaches - including in the LA this season.
Actually I can.
It's more like you follow narratives and journalistic hypes rather than facts= obvious things. Then you apparently don't want to see obvious things.

You seriously tell me he had problems with Willie Desjardins of all people?
I don't think our D is remarkably unimpressive this time.At this point, it looks like there will be an impressive offense, every bit of which will be needed to cover up for a remarkably unimpressive defense. Same old, same old!

LOL#1 at saying Zaytsev and Orlov would not improve our D.It was vs Sweden, and I don't see Zaitsev and Orlov will improve it significantly.
So a coach can do no wrong? Or how does it work? If a bad coach scratches a player he shouldn't scratch then what? Why then he was scratched multiple times, or struggled in the 4th line, being publicly criticised by the coach quite harshly. And it is not just about LA. The same thing when he played in the KHL. In the Russian national team, it was usually him who was taking absurdly lengthy shifts, turning the whole teams' pace down. I don't say he is not a very skilled forward, but honestly, he never presented himself as a leader nor even a team player on the ice. I don't know how he is as a person, but as a player, his work ethic during the game is rather terrible.
