Maybe they are confident they can resign him cheaper. Plus its possible teams were asking more than just kreider which in that case gorton did the right thing

If they are in a playoff spot, not sure that he will. Will be a lot of pressure to keep CK and go for it “for the room” if the team does well which I think they might.

I still don't think internally that's important to them next year. I think next year is the last year they wont have any internal pressure/expectations to make the playoffs. 2021 they want to be back in the dance.

Is it me or are the NHL players suits a lot more conservative than the NBA players suits. I have yet to see a purple or yellow suit.

Of course it's not just you. Think about the backgrounds of most of these NHL draft picks compared to the NBA draft picks last night. Most NHL players come from white middle/upper middle class families who likely have lived in mostly suburban communities. It costs alot to play hockey. Heck even me being born in Brooklyn it cost a ton back in the day for equipment, skates and shit. Heck most of these kids probably like country or Taylor Swift type music and are mostly conservative and their clothes typically reflect it.

Than you take a typical NBA player who is likely African american, who has come from the inner city in a likely a not well to do upbringing where hip hop and rap music are the rage in their circles. The clothes they wear reflect that.

Not upset Kreider hasn't been dealt yet; guessing the trade proposals haven't been to Gorton's liking and/or teams are seeing their preferred player avalaible when they were/are picking. Get a 2020 first rd pick; better draft; could possibly have 3 firsts next year, if Zuccarello re-signs with Dallas; more flexibility.
