I still disagree heavily with whom say Kakko has the edge on this tourney due to team/linemates.

These guys are straight up garbage, the difference to good to high end NHL players is massive.
So many missed plays on lack of vision/playmaking, or puck handling mistakes.
& on top of it every team in this tourney knows Kakko is the threat of the team, take him out and you have a pretty good shot at winning.

Exactly. With all respect they are just too far from Kakko's level and he's suffering a great deal from it. I usually avoid "the player could have so many points" discussions, but it's amazing how many points Kakko has missed by now because his linemates just can't finish no matter what kind of a chance he creates. Not that it surprises me anymore, though.

Kakko vs Lundqvist in the QFs on Thursday. I hope he scores on hank ;)

is that confirmed or just highly likely? If usa beats canada in OT, then usa, canada and finland would all have 16 points (not sure on the tie breakers)...and if sweden beats russia than sweden, russia and czech would be tied with 18 points. again not sure on the tie breakers

If Sweden loses it’s SWE - FIN.

Slightly off-topic but this just reminds me of the beauty of the word "Czechia". Every other language uses that name (varying spelling of course) but it's so much easier and just better than Czech Republic.

Czech and other Slavic languages: Češka
Dutch: Tsjechië
German: Tschechien
Danish: Tjekkiet
Eesti: Tšehhi
Norwegian: Tsjekkia
Swedish: Tjeckien

Only Latin languages and English go with the unnecessarily complicated full name

i don’t like it as Czechia, I guess you are used to as your country name also ends with “a” but it’s disgusting really. Czech Republic or even that single word Czech sounds much better. Also Czech is geographically divided to Behemia=Czechia and Moravia and Silesia so that’s quite rude towards Moravians and Silesians.

My country's name ends in a D in my own language, in an I in Italian, an A in Croatian, an S in English and an E in German. It's probably one of the more confusing country names in the world

What is the Neatherlands called in your language? In Swedish its Holland. Big difference between Holland/Neatherlands.

Hum, you sure? Finnish has both Hollanti(holland) and Alankomaat(Netherlands) and the actual country's called Alankomaat.

Nederland. Holland is a region made up of 2 provinces called Noord (North) and Zuid (South) Holland.

Calling it "Holland" is like calling the United States "Carolina"

I've heard people in the US refer to the country as Holland. My parents and I, we had to look it up many years ago when I was a child, to figure out if Holland and the Netherlands were the same thing and if they were referred to as the Dutch. Honestly, though, it's not an oft-mentioned country so I don't have much frame of reference for people calling it the right or wrong name. I think most Americans know it for The Hague and Tulips.

And Amsterdam. EVERYONE knows Amsterdam

What? It's Nederländerna in Swedish. Holland is Holland.
Some Swedes call it Holland though for some reason.

That is the official name, and used about as often as People’s Republic of Korea is used for North Korea. ;)

It’s also Amerikas Förenta Stater, everyone say USA.
