Meh

It looks better in recent years. And I'm sure someone good will fall to our pick.

Doesn't look like there is a defenceman worth drafting at 8. Why not consider packaging the pick for a solid top pairing guy on a floundering team?

Don't trade the pick, you have to build through the draft, and we'll get a very good player at 8.

I'm guessing Byram, Cozens, and Podkolzin are for sure off the board before we pick. Cozens has all the tools, I know a team before us won't pass up on him.

So my prediction is that at least two of Turcotte, Zegras, Dach, and Krebs will be available at our pick. Can't really go wrong with any of them. I'd prefer Turcotte, but if he's not available I'm pretty 'whatever' on who we pick between Dach, Zegras, or Krebs... all are great picks.

I like 8.

It guarantees we have a shot at a guy I like and it's far enough back that the guys I don't really want will hopefully have been taken.

Give me Turcotte/Dach/Zegras/Krebs.

Cozens for me altho Dach is close. Upside is Monahan+. I am quite happy with #8 given the available options this year. No trading the pick without a 1st and a big plus coming back.

Cam York is worth an honest look.

He has some enormous offensive upside.

We still get a very good prospect. 3-8/9 is kind of a wash in terms of prospects.

Bouchard + Dach/Anyone else is a good foundation for a new pipeline of prospects.
