If the team that had the best record in the history of the QMJHL isn't a favorite, I wonder what it will take?
Ottawa was consensus beat team in the league going into the playoffs and undefeated until they met Guelph. I wouldn't bet against Guelph lol. They beat the who's who of the OHL this year.

Guelph runs on their 19 year old players (most teams do), and they have 12 of them, I believe. A huge number and major factor in them defeating Ottawa.

Mooseheads are missing impact Euro players and most of their core is 17 or 18 with a few 19 and 20 years olds in the top of the line-up.

Euoro's: Safin who was a mistake trading for. Not having Zadina for his 19 year old season hurts.

1998 Born Players (20 year olds): Asselin, Ryczek, Getson

1999 Born Players (19 year olds): Morand, Durandeau, Trepanier, Chainey, Bishop.

2000 Born Players (18 year olds): Lavoie, Groulx, McIsaac, Gravel

2001/2002 Born Players (16 and 17 year olds): Parent, Barron, Kyte, Dube

I was surprised the Moosheads were able to take 2 games from RN. I think they will be in tough competition at the Memorial Cup based on a large % of the core being 17 or 18.

Hoping the Prince Albert Raiders can pull it off tonight. They were up 3-1 in the series, now they are tied 3-3. But man has Fonstad been underwhelming in the playoffs. Game 7 of a championship finals and ticket to the Memorial Cup tournament on the line, maybe it will spark him good.

I'm going to the game on Tuesday (WHL vs OHL), may try and get tickets to see Teasedale against Suzuki. I can't wait to see Suzuki live.

I am a season ticket holder and got the whole tournament for $368 tax in. 1st row of the upper bowl right at the blue line. Good seats. Wish I bought more so I could flip them for a bit of profit

I mean.. the Mooseheads and the Sea Dogs in the past have been favorites.. and won.

The Rouyn-Noranda team isn't that special when you compare them.

Why? Because they don't have as much NHL prospects?

Most wins in a season and fewer goals allowed in the history of the league. That's special to me. It doesn't mean Rouyn will win for sur but they should be considered as a favorite after the season they had.

They are all special teams.

They are but yes, generally in terms of the tournament, the teams with the most NHL prospects will be considered a 'favorite'.
