That would suck. Ghost should be in for Niskanen and Friedman in for Hagg. Friedman and Ghost can both play LD and RD.

I was thinking the same earlier when someone was saying that we wouldn’t ha have deal with Thompson and Grant if Patrick and Lindblom were healthy. I forget what thread that was. Even with a fully healthy team we would probably be looking at

Have to agree. No one he has brought in whether it’s players or coaches is doing their job well.

But I blame G, Couts, Voracek, Ghost and Hart.

I don't know if it was a failure. I wasn't as mad during the game, so for me it kinda worked.

Maybe I just wasn't positive enough...

Of course, other than Braun, they cost almost nothing, sorry, I don't put a lot of stock in late 4th and 5th rd picks. Even if you draft well, you're gonna find a lot more Akeson types than land another Lindblom.

Braun has been bad, just not as bad as Hagg. He left Ghost out to dry multiple times while chasing the puck.

Hayes hasn't been very good since RR ended. Maybe he would be better if he didn't have Laughton on the wing. It's too bad AV doesn't have a 30 goal scorer sitting on the bench that he could try on Hayes LW.

What are the point of bodies if they provide nothing to the roster? Stewart was Fletchers pet and he still thinks it is 2004.

Pitlick is a 4RW who can't and shouldn't have to carry anyone.

Would be nice to have those 4th and 5th round picks for "bodies" in the future. Its not like they could be any worse than Thompson. If he is worth having on a playoff roster, then literally anyone is.

Gudas > Niskanen in the playoffs, and it's not close.

The Caps haven't been doing well at all but Gudas has easily been their best D, statistically speaking. Meanwhile Niskanen has arguably been our worst D.

Gudas 55.17 CF% (6.03 rel) 51.16 xGF% (4.65 rel)

Niskanen 40.09 CF% (-8.10 rel) 39.63 xGF% (-9.38 rel)

In what reality are Thompson and Grant worse than Bunnaman?

It's certainly not this one.

I think him [Grant] and Thompson are both easy upgrades to Bunnaman, though.

If they can win with Hagg replacing Ghost, surely they can win with Grant and Thompson replacing Farabee and Bunnaman.

You told us Braun and Niskanen weren't good players. Why exactly are we supposed to think your talent evaluation ability has improved since June?

Essentially every fear in that thread came to fruition.

Frost never even got another shot & doesn’t appear close to unless injuries. Farabee hasn’t had a permanent spot these playoffs despite being one of our leading goal scorers. Even Bunnaman’s been screwed over with these moves. The bottom six has completely become devoid of any talent to the point we have one of our top players down there to essentially babysit.
