Man, that Lizotte feature in the athletic. Love this kid more every time. Fun fact, he was coached by Marty Murray, who was captain when Martinez et. al. were there.

Blake Lizotte's 'relentless' personality got him to the...

"“He continued to impress and the one thing that always astonished me is, whenever he went into a puck battle, he always comes out with it somehow,” Murray said. “There might have been two or three players in a scrum and here is little Blake coming out with the puck and I do not know how he does it. I think it is a lot of heart. We’ve have had 6-foot-4 guys here that did not win nearly as many puck battles as him. Just his tenacity and his will, shift-in, shift-out.”"

"“The main thing is the work ethic every day. Practice, game, whatever it is, he’s dialed in,” Carter said. “He’s 21 years old, but he’s mature beyond his years, is probably a good way to put it. You’d have to ask him, but I got to think, just looking at him and knowing a little bit of his story, it seems like he’s kind of always the underdog, right?
“The little guy. ‘Man you’re never going to make it, blah blah blah.’ The kid’s got a chip on his shoulder and he comes to work every day and doesn’t take anything for granted. He came in and made our team. He wasn’t getting anything. He came in and he made our team, probably pushed some guys out of the way. It’s exciting.”"

I mean, good for him too obviously, that's the big thing, but man, he is exactly what this team needs right now.

Do you think LA brings Moverare back into the mix next season? Could be an interesting cost effective option on the blue line. Definitely don't expect him to be a top pairing guy, but he could compete for a roster spot for sure.
who knows what will happen from year to year. Look at Walker. I don't think anyone saw the jump he took this season

Jon Rosen has made previous hints that the plan is for him to be in North America for the 2020-2021 season. He'll be with the Reign no doubt. He was a player that needed to not only improve his skating significantly and he needed time and work to physically mature and get stronger, so keeping him at home has been the right call. From most reports, he has made terrific strides in his overall game, particularly his skating and his shot. He's been known to have a high hockey IQ, now other aspects of his game seem to be rounding out. Whether or not that will ever translate to the NHL is certainly a question mark, but he's one more option on the left side in the Kings system.

TMac is the perfect coach and the perfect system for Walker. It plays into his strengths. He will level out and have lapses in his D coverage still, but no player has stepped up and benefited more than Sean Walker, and give him credit, he has taken advantage of it.

I didn't bring up politics at all. I mentioned no party lines of any kind, sooo. I mean is this really what we've come to? Jesus ****ing Christ...
Unfortunately, yes . It is

I think making a Dominican baseball joke about Kaliyev will produce the least amount of backlash in the future. But f*** that will probably trigger someone too

Except that I didn't. If a photo Beto O'Rourke showed up tomorrow of him sitting on a park bench eating an ice cream cone with a pair of pink boxers on his head I can't joke about it because he happens to be a politician? It's like I've stepped into that scene in Field Of Dreams where they're talking about banning a book and the bitch responds with "at least my husband didn't plow under his corn" :loony:

Whatever, I deleted my posts, this place can be too stupid to live sometimes.

He honestly has impressed me so much this season. There were glimpses of his potential last season, especially when paired with Muzzin, but he has reached a whole different level this year. His possession numbers have been unbelievable so far(he leads the league in basically every possession stats among defensemen) and it is not from being sheltered either. He has the second lowest O zone start% and O zone faceoff% of all Kings defensemen. What he is doing is very impressive and I have been surprised how little it has been talked about.

I wouldn't hold my breath. When I was young I used to think it would die off with all the dinosaurs but nope, there's a fresh batch of bozos happy to take their place. If anything it's just getting worse. We need a dose of this, not just for LA but the whole country:

Another 2 goal game for Grundy last night.

The Kings will likely be rotating some waiver exempt players in the not too distant future (to give some of the Reign players opportunities in the AHL).

I really hope Grundstrom gets that opportunity next.

I just hope they don't put him on line 4 or give him 10 minutes of TOI. Carl is a legit goal scorer. Few 18 year olds have ever scored 17 goals in the SHL. He then joined the Marlies and helped them
win the Calder Cup. he scored in his first 2 games on the Kings, after scoring 10 pts in 13 games with the Reign. I know he didn't have the best of camps and TM said he was trying to do everything
right. (something like that - maybe concentrating on learning the system and not just playing)

Put him with someone that can get him the puck...Amadio, preferably. Amadio should not be centering line 4 anyway. Line 3 could have Amadio, Grundstrom and perhaps Toffoli? (or Carter) Carl is a damn good player and also plays a physical game.

i do feel like grundstrom brings something to the table that other forwards don't

there's a lot of "meek" but moderate goal scorers in the depth chart, he definitely comes with an edge

have to believe prokhorkin gets a shot here soon then i imagine grundstrom isn't far behind. that said, it's good for all their development to succeed in the AHL as well
