Maybe the artist / graphic designer is not at fault, as the Kings directed them to: "make something really ugly, do NOT use any colors...only use black, white, and a little silver may be allowed....make sure it has LA on it and that's it" Back in the 80's when "BARF ME OUT " was a thing, my little niece thought it was "BARF MEOW". This jersey made me think she would even say "BARF MEOW"

The only cool thing is the numbers. They are actually cool and I like them. Would like to see all the numbers. But numbers do not make a jersey. I would have told the designer, "good work on the numbers...now start over on the design and make the design as cool as the numbers...please use some shade of purple as well. Show us an additional design with some gold in a design as well"

So, first BLuc were blamed despite not signing the contract. Then they were blamed for moving Lombardi .25 million higher on the cap. Now they are being blamed for Lombardi "triple-guessing" himself?

It just seems like reaching.

Panarin, Malkin, Crosby, Draisaitl, McDavid, O'Reilly, Eichel, Ovechkin, Kucherov, Rantanen are all examples of big contracts that are not mistakes. Also, Patrick Kane has 110 points last season and has 60 points in 48 games this season. How is that a bad contract?

I think the sticking point for Dean on the big Kopitar deal was the full NMC. The only points he won was getting the stipulation for a 7 team trade list starting next season and a drop off in bonus payments.

Blake gave a similar point to Doughty but at least didn’t give up lockout protection and major bonuses every year of the deal.
