Aw man, looks like the tank is in jeopardy. Nice to see the young guys break in and do well. At least it seems like this team has a future unlike our Cali rivals.

We gonna finish 9th.

But given that we finished 30th last season and had the worst possible scenario happen I'm confident we can pull off the inverse.

Whatever teams finish immediately behind and ahead of us will win the lottery regardless of position.

If I prepare myself for that inevitability, hard to be disappointed.

So, who's available at 10?

Worst case scenario for Ottawa tonight. Three point game. The Kings are still in 30th place despite a 5-game winning streak! Yikes.

Brown once again chirps Andersen after he got the hatty" Great F-ing play" . Who'd have thought they could put up a touchdown during a day game. A 7-3 win always looks good.

Good news is the other teams above us are winning as well. Got a 3-point game tonight between OTT/SJ, New Jersey is rolling, Anaheim is winning. I still think the Kings finish in the bottom 3 overall.

Ottawa may strike gold with their own pick plus that SJ pick. Jeebus. Imagine if they end up with two of Stutzle/Dysdale/Laf/Byfield. :eek2:

They have 3 shots at the top pick. Theirs, SJ and NYI [which is conditional]. They're going to clean up in the draft either way with 9 picks in the first 3 rounds.

McDermott isnt playing with Walker.

MacDermid however, was involved with all three goals against tonight.
Directly responsible for all of them.
He just missed the puck on that 3rd goal.

Walker -3 due to him.

Awful
directly responsible for the spurgeon goal? not a chance. i get trying to make a point but completely disregarding facts to make that point is wrong

frk should've handled that puck on the boards, that doesn't make him directly responsible
vilardi should've come down on zucc to support harder, that doesn't make him directly responsible
frk should've been in the lane to deny the pass out to spurgeon or tip the shot, that doesn't make him directly responsible
walker shouldn't have screened, that doesn't make him directly responsible
if you want to single something out on that play, single out petersen whiffing on a perfect shot to the upper 90 and even that is ridiculous

you wanna tag him for the 1st goal? absolutely. he cold lost his man. shit happens. 3rd goal he denied the slot, forced the pass and held his man. that's what an NHL defenseman is supposed to do. iafallo left brodin open for the secondary chance to dive on walker's man. probably thinking he had to cover for how hard walker was puck watching.. piling on a 6/7D on a bottom of the league team is ridiculous, especially when you ignore all the plays he snuffs with his great stick on puck denial and willingness to stand up in the neutral zone

i'm not trying to be macdermid's cheerleader here but the shit you guys blame on him is so ridiculous sometimes

Last year, the Kings had 71pts. They are sitting at 60 right now. They have 14 games left. They win six of those games and they pass last year.

First goal he lost his man/positioning after a ******** faceoff, please note. A standard situation, without movement.

Second goal he could have touched the puck with his reach, than he should have won the board battle with his size which he lost too.

Third goal, he simply missed the puck when it came towards him. The Minnesota player was even surprised. The rest isnt even important.

How can you even deny all of this. If anything, you can say bad luck with the second goal but that’s about it.

puck wouldn't have even come back the other way if vilardi would've held it in the other zone, why aren't you blaming him? he got his stick lifted. lost the battle. rest isn't even important.

That's freakin ridiculous. My goodness. I hope whoever they get all bust.

Never underestimate this forum's ability to find a whipping boy.
There was a quote that the Walker and McDermott pairing were on the ice with all goals against.

MacDermid was directly involved in all those goals. Walker had nothing to do with it. If I was Walker, such a partner would piss me off. This is relevant.

A whipping boy is; a person who is blamed or punished for the faults or incompetence of others.

That is not the case here.

MacDermid had an awful game and that should be noted, even if it is a 7-3 win.
