Lewis also played that poorly when he chased after the puck carrier. Had he stayed in position, he’d cut off that pass go Necas. Two Kings dmen were already focused on the puck carrier, and Lewis made it a third.

None of them played it well, to be honest. Amadio was looking the other way at the point, Kovalchuk wasn't doing much down near the goalie, and Lewis was way out of position chasing the puck carrier.

None of them played it well, to be honest. Amadio was looking the other way at the point, Kovalchuk wasn't doing much down near the goalie, and Lewis was way out of position chasing the puck carrier.

Amadio just watched him skate right by and fire that shot. No reason to be that high while defending.

No, thats not on Amadio or Kovalchuk. They covered the pointmen. Roy cut off the side of the net, but Ryan decided to tie up the pass Roy was preventing. Once Lewis decided to try and cut off the pass on the other side, that left Carolina's high forward uncovered alone in the slot.

You want to assign blame, its a combination of Ryan for picking up the less dangerous guy and Lewis for letting the puck thru him.
