Not to bash Kopitar, but man is he slow. He had better jump at the start of the season. He's not moving his feet or exerting much at all. I recall the early years, where he was working his azz off on the
dryland training - doing off ice drills on the roller rink part of the training center. He was quick and agile - and probably 20 pounds lighter. Now, at 31 and 2 little kids and married, I bet no way he's spending time on that level of training...and he must. I recall last year when Stoll was saying "I know he's more than 230 lbs" and was chuckling. He needs to shed 10 lbs and get back to work.
Overall, he's been good most all year and this is not bashing him...but I;ve seen every team several times this year, between all King games, having NHL center ice and catching
most AVS games here in Denver too. I cannot think of a slower player in the league. I know part of it is, you're watching a 6'3" 240 lb player...but man, move your feet.
