I have a lot of faith that DeBoer will know how to use him effectively. Dallas has plenty of great finishers and good forecheckers. Granlund could fit in well on any line we can create, really.

You're right, Dallas has a pretty decent track record finding and developing gems in the draft......which would suggest they can do just as much damage with a 2nd round pick that they could with a late 1st.
Makes it easier to move a draft pick when you know there's still a decent chance of walking away from any draft with some good pieces.

It's gonna be a late 1st around 28th or even higher and a 4th...not too much honestly.
When you're making picks like Johnston/Stankoven/Otter/Robertson in the late 1st and 2nd, it kinda is.

But we have those players which makes moving the a late 1st a whatever pick for us especially if we got Granlund for it who is having a decent season.
