You know good and well if that goalie was wearing "32" you'd be the first one screaming that he committed and was down too early instead of looking for a defenseman to blame.
Hes been awful
Coming from the guy who holds a candle by his bedside for Quick every night. I'd care for criticism from people who aren't his staunchest defenders. There's many people who criticize Quick fairly. You ain't one of them son.
I said the save wasn't good, and that the forward had so much time to pick a corner.
The way I see it, right now there are three guys that need to be "sheltered": Kovalchuk, Carter, and Kempe. If we can get these guys to be productive and find chemistry, our forwards will be looking pretty good. I still think we should consider moving Iafallo off the top line and trying something else. I still think we ought to trade Kovalchuk if we can. Retain 50% on him and try to get a pick of some kind. Then we could roll:
Carter - Kopitar - Brown
Wagner - Amadio - Toffoli
Iafallo - Lizotte - Grundstrom
Clifford - Kempe - Lewis
yeah "awful" is very far from the correct termIf by awful, do you mean pretty good? He looks like a good third-pairing defenseman.
"But Quick."
A full NMC, and has to be sheltered. I'm sure teams are knocking down the door.
7.18 GAA 0.75 sv %. Where you at bby? Mr Impartial I'm sure. Don't see you talking about that. Wonder why, Mrs Quick?
You don't think he'd jump at the chance to move on from the worst team in the league? He's not getting any younger. Kovalchuk is a creative player, but we are not a creative team. Perhaps putting him next to Amadio would be a smart decision, but trying to play him with Kempe and Carter - north/south players - seems like a mistake.
Regardless, teams could do a lot worse than Kovalchuk at $3.25 million, and I wouldn't be surprised if we accepted a 3rd or 4th round pick for him.
I like a good non answer. You never critique him was my point. You tried <3.Because he's not in the net tonight you ****ing lunatic
Campbell sporting that stellar .878 by the way despite the team being 60% and 100% (so far today) in high danger CF% in his games vs. mid 40s in Quick's starts.
Just even out the criticism is all. Both are goalies are struggling, league-worst style.
last season i felt like he was one of the only players who managed to find a way to get open for breakout passes, i think that's exactly what you're talking about with his innate abilityAmadio is legit. Such good vision, skills...passing and shooting. He only lacks real speed, but his skating is fine...a little bowlegged style and may never be a burner - but he KNOWS where to be and has that innate ability...to be around the puck,..,and he's patient with it, handles it well and gets off good passes...even without much space. He's good enough to play 2C. No doubt. He's actually closer to Kopitar as a #1 center, than to a #3 center. I believe. I want to see him as 2c and more PP time.
fingerprints are all over this game, the forecheck is aggressive and actually checking because of itCliffords line continues to own.
So when does Alex Faust’s contract expire????
